Sometimes people who talk too much, forget what they say and how they say it. They tend to insinuate things they might not mean to do, or maybe they do mean to do it and are just sly about it. One of the most degrading and disrespectful things you can do to a person is mispronounce their name on purpose. Pate does this arrogantly every time he mentions CLEMZON. He knows it, Yet does it anyway! Maybe we should refer to him as Josh PETE from now on to get his attention on the matter?
Pate squirms, writhes and wiggles out of what he has said like he always does because he is a master at the English language. I watch his shows on Youtube every week and know exactly what he says and what he insinuates by saying it. He has "insinuated" on many occasions that Clemson is on the downside of a great run. He was wrong, as were many, but will never admit it. Clemson has been through an era of "change" and is now coming out the other side. Beware what you say, Mr. Pete, because eating regurgitated words can be quite unpleasant.

Totally agree. He is paid handsomely to do what he does and Clemzon just happens to be one of the schools he is paid to hate on.

With that said, I may have helped TNetters become aware of Pate several years ago when most hadn’t heard of him..and he has done some great segments about Dabo & Clemson FB that were highly complimentary.

Why are Clemson fans so sensitive?
2020 - 2024 were substantially less competitive than 2015 - 2019...how is that not regressing from a a great run?
We just signed a class outside of the top 30 and even by player avg outside of the top 15...how is that not regressing from a great run?
Is there reason to be very hopeful for the 2025 season? Absolutely. Are we on a recruiting tear the last week? Absolutely. And he mentioned both of those facts...

I actually really like Josh Pate. I think he’s mainly pretty truthful and plays it fair.
He has done a fair bit of pandering towards the Tigers recently but I think it’s cause morons interact and complain which gives him more rise.
In his defense, the last several years of Clemson Football have been good and not great by most standards. Making the playoff last year was really good for the program but going 0-3 vs the SEC is not the best.
I’m excited for this season - we have a ton of DOGS on the team, the best leadership we’ve had in recent years, and a legitimate shot at a deep playoff run…
And if we can hang on to this upcoming recruiting class we are gonna be a HARD team to stop going forward.

Yeah, I do too. Of all the things to pick on someone about, choose to pick on his accent. Whoever posts anything about that, must be a Yankee or from up north. They love to joke about southerners accents.
The southern ga, bama thru Louisiana tend to pronounce words different than the upper south and mid Atlantic.
As I posted under his story thread, be glad he talks about us so much in a favorable way. It means we're relevant. I'll take that as a win.

Josh Pate has been more than fair every time he talks about Clemson. Just because you don't always like what he is saying, doesn't mean its not right. Our signing classes have been slowly declining, our on field record over the last several years has dropped. He is not saying "we suck" He is simply saying we set the bar incredibly high for a period of time and we are no longer at THAT level but still pretty good. Some of you guys are way too sensitive

If more folks would quit watching him, he'd dwindle to what his opinion is really worth. Same goes for Finebaum. I tried watching him for a couple of weeks. LOL. Why folks continue watch these dolts is beyond me.
