Overreacting to Miami loss

I hate to lose, but do not overreact to last nights loss. Miami is verrrry athletic, they just went to the final 4 last year, and it was on the road. They also shot 74% in the second half. We could have had Michael Jordan and still lost with the other team shooting that well! Some of the shots were layups or easy, but 74% is ridiculous. Let's reserve judgement until after tomorrows game with UNC.

Also it can be a good thing for this Clemson team to experience something

like this early in the season. This should amp the team up to recognize what a good team looks like and hopefully improve our game planning going forward. And its good to play good teams. Its never good to play a bunch of mediocre teams and then get slapped in the face later in big moments not being prepared. From this point forward I expect our team to be ready for future challenges.

Agreed on the very athletic aspect

Clemson has been winning without a very athletic lineup this year. The team is a lot different from the Purnell days when they were fast breaking and pressing on most possessions. A deeper look reveals that the players now are more one dimensional and are less likely to get a one-on-one move to the basket. I wish CBB would institute more of a half court offense with more movement and options, but it is apparent that this is not going to happen.

If Clemson had Michael Jordan on the team and still lost to Miami last night...

then it would be clear we have a coaching issue.

I support this staff though, so I don't think that's the case.

"I've played multiple sports and would bet any amount that I'm still more athletic than you at this present time...."

Miami just shot lights out in the 2nd half not much you can do, they are a good team, also a number of times clemson had a 7 or 8 point lead and had a few opportunities to extend to 10 or 12 point lead, but always came up empty and miami would cut it to a 2 or 3 point game.

The only game in Littlejohn that I saw last season was the Miami game and I was very impressed with the Canes coach. He was good last night too! I will be very surprised if the team doesn’t play especially good against the Blue Bloods Saturday. I would love to be in LJ for this game so, if you are close by, Be there and Be loud.
