The current NIL climate has to be such a pain to deal with. The man has made his place as a great, made his money, and most importantly made an impact on lots of people. I’m giving him 2 more seasons after this one, and that’s two more than I would put in. Thoughts?

I used to think this guy will have to be wheeled out. This is his calling and passion.
But with his good buddy Toney Bennett hanging up his whistle. Saban retiring.
And the sorry state of college athletics, I’m more inclined to say he’s going sooner rather than later.

If he makes it the next 5 years, I think he will go for another 10-15 years. He is currently closing in on 200 wins. In 10 years, he will close in on Saban and Bear Bryant but it might take 13-15 more seasons to get there.
Somewhat odd logic but I think he will either hang it up early or stick it out to catch some of the all time greats on the win totals.

That college football is evolving into (more like devolving), I don’t know how much more of this madness Dabs can stomach. Reminds me of a beautiful sailboat and no more wind to push it. Gone are the days of me and my wife jumping up and down like clowns in my living room cheering on the Tigers. Being so nervous before and during games that my heart would be racing hoping for a win. Maybe I’m just older and my perspectives have changed, but I long for that excitement again and hope by some miracle it will somehow fix itself in the future. Dabs has and will continue to have my support, because I truly believe he is a champion for what is right.

I'm pretty sure I read where in July 2025, CUs NIL account will be fully accessible. Not sure what that means, but they are rated 10th now. I think they will be fine

There was a lot more talk of how he was unhappy with the state of affairs and people talking about him walking away last year and year before.
Of course a lot of that has gone away this year with the success and the team feeling more fun. But if things go south before the year ends that talk may start up again

I think he retires from Clemson. He turns 55 this month, so 10 years should be the over/under mark.
He seems pretty excited about the upcoming changes (revenue sharing, etc.), and this may be enough to keep him excited to continue doing what he is doing.
