Our play was NOT lackluster...

Sep 20, 2013, 12:48 AM

It was workmanlike.

NCSU was easily the best defense we've played so far this year.

We protected the football and wore them down like good teams do.

I know Danny is proud of this team tonight.

Agree to a point.

Our win was great and well played. Unfortunately, that's not how college football is played now. It's about style and how much you win by. Not a fan of it, but we unfortunately need to factor that in and rack up the points. Watch Oregon play, and they don't care about their opponent. They'll add points no matter what.

Lol....yeah then they get beat by a subpar Oregon State or a pedestrian Standford team toward the end of the year! Talk about Choking!!!!!!!!

It was exactly the kind of game we did NOT want when the nation was watching. Like it or not, the officials appeared to help us tremendously. We could have lost to a very, very bad team. And then battle sucker punching someone half his size ...
then demonstrating on the sidelines how he did it. For everyone to see. Sugar coat it all you want. This was not a good night for Clemson football. We are better than this.

Most everyone had tuned to the NFL game...

It was a good night for the Tigers.

You're such a clown. Do you really have to ACT so hard to be a Clemson fan? Not fooling anybody, coot. Need to work a little harder on trying to hide those feathers. Must suck at life to continue to portray yourself as someone your not on your rivals board!

I think you are overreacting***

Now I'm not one to be concerned about that from one game, it happens from time to time, but we certainly looked fairly crappy today. I'm pretty sure the I know what the coaching staff will be saying once they start looking at the game film. Heck, I'm pretty sure they're already saying some of it.

I know some people like the flash and style points and want it all the time and are always concerned about what others are doing or thinking at all times, but I don't. I just care about Clemson football. Don't really care about other teams or what voters are thinking. Yeah we might drop a little in certain voters minds b/c of our performance, but that stuff will be a distant memory if we play like we can the rest of the season. If we take care of ourselves we'll be just fine.

It's tough to play at a high level for 12 games no matter who you are, especially on the road. Teams are gonna come out flat. Tonight we did. We just weren't sharp at all, esp our QB. There's nothing I saw that worries or concerns me though right now. No real trends that scare me. Just put it behind us and move on. I'm pretty confident our team will do that.

It was a road conference win, that's all that matters. Road conference wins are hard to come by anyways, no matter who it is against. A win is a win is a win. I'll take it.

The best defense. I suspect Georgia's is somewhat better***
