He is correct, and has every reason as a Clemson fan to complain after last night. IMO what I witnessed last night from FSU isn’t what college football is supposed to be about. They are like the Yankees and Dodgers, buying the talent developed by others. There’s no more thought and effort in building a championship roster, now you just take what others have invested their time in and make yours. I can only speak for myself, but I think maybe people saw FSU last night and wonder why our guy refuses to even address areas of need. Their WRs looked like Clemson a few years ago. Only difference is they bought them from about 5 different schools. That’s coming to the Valley at the end of the month…

He refuses to tamper and pay players upfront payments both of which are against the rules. He refuses to abandon the core values which has brought us the most successful run in program history?
You may have missed it, but per the blue chip metric we have the fifth most talented roster in CFB. Part of the reason is Dabo is selling something different than the others yet you are dying for us to race to the bottom like everyone else.

We did not have any spots available to fill in with the portal. I do not understand how you think we can just add players that there is no scholarship for.

many get up and arms if you dare question anything dabo does. its not unreasonable at all to expect him to pluck a wr or two out of the portal to better the offense which has been very bad the past few years. the game has changed. adapt or get left behind.

They are Johnny come lately fans. We went 3-8 my freshman year and Tommy West got fired. Dabo won us two national championships and made the playoffs four other times. He accomplished that by being himself and true to his beliefs and players. I trust him more than some keyboard coaches and will never take for granted, nor complain, about winning.

The portal didn’t exist then. It’s here now and our competitors are making their teams better by using the portal.
Dabo not using the portal to fill voids left by players leaving for the portal is like Dabo saying he’s not going to to recruit the state of (name your state) because (name your reason).

And you are in a state of denial. We are 1 injury at WR from 10-2 or 9-3. Asking why other schools use tbe available legal tools and we don't is a fair question and complaint. The game has changed, either Dabo will adapt or Clemson will be left behind. It's actually pretty simple.

Yeah they beat a very overrated LSU team that had no business being in the top 10. The only reason both these teams were ranked top 10 is for ratings. I personally don't know if we are a top 10 team either at this point. My point is let's see 4 or 5 games and get an idea for what each team has. Everyone is so quick to claim this team or that team the best after 1 freaking game. Slow your roll tnet.
