tonight so I am admittedly in a sour mood. But that wouldn't have changed what I'm about to say. And that is, college football is done, folks. It's all rigged. You can see it. The schools with the biggest tv contracts, and the schools with the most and wealthiest boosters, they will and are, simply going to contract with the best players. Whether it be high school or the unrestricted free agents that are college football players. It's over. It's rigged. You can cite certain examples that are exceptions here and there. But what I'm saying is happening. What's the point?

Well...yeah. That's why most aren't happy with NIL to begin with. If you're going to do it then it needs to have a cap and become regulated. But that's going to be insanely hard with the transfer portal now as well. That many players or programs having to turn in what revenue they make to make sure they don't go over a cap space? Nearly impossible. But even then, you'd still have under the table hush money being funneled in too. Regardless, people wanted this and have now have bury themselves in this hole they dug.

They can't regulate NIL or put a cap on it. Have you read Kavanaugh's opinion? He destroyed college football.

But, the NCAA (certainly the P2) doesn't want it regulated.
As long as the leaders (university presidents, board of trustees, etc.) embrace two premises, it cannot be regulated.
Premise 1: The purpose of football and basketball at the universities is to be the minor league for the NFL and NBA.
Premise 2: A degree is a luxury that is available to the athlete, but it is not an expectation, and certainly not a requirement.
As long as the above sentence is accepted as fact, then regulating it be impossible.

surely, you can see that a (coach and player) developmental program can be attractive to the sec or B1G? LMAO. Might as well knock down the Valley and build a really cool field hockey field.
