engaging in the same ugly behavior towards Brownell. Hypocritical.
A lot of toxic behavior from people seemingly reveling in negativity around our basketball team now. More than even the recent toxicity around the FB program. Things have become much uglier here than the success of our athletic programs warrant. Now is a golden age of Clemson athletics, but there is as much toxic behavior as ever.

We have many posters here who behave like paid agents trying to sow discontent even when things were awesome. Complaining about a horrible performance is normal and nearly all of us do that. But there are people waging non-stop campaigns of negativity well beyond pointing out obvious failures like the first half of that game.

Not a chance. Alum that supports the current coach of any sport we have until they retire, move on, or are fired. Not a discord sower like about 25% on here. Watch the games to the end no matter the outcome.
I see a parallel between the haters on here and ####### Tesla owners. Were saving the world from the climate hoax last year but want to burn the car in their driveway today.

What do you think is harder? Clemson to win acc in football or win the ACC in basketball.
In football this year, we lost to every decent team we played. We lost our toughest regular season in conference game to louisville. We needed miami to lose to syracuse to even make the acc championship game. We then beat SMU (who didnt beat a decent team all year) to win the ACC.
In basketball we had to beat top 15 louisville and then #1 ranked duke to win the ACC.

Basketball by a mile. Talent disparity is huge. Duke had more incoming 5 stars this year than our program has ever had.

My suggestion would be for the one person to stop the poisonous approach, and then let's see if that solves the problem.

You just identified yourself in your original post that the one person's poisonous attitude towards Dabo is the root cause of the problem. Eliminating the root cause of the problem is generally what solves a problem.

The fact our basketball program has been used as a mechanism for counterattacking a T-Net poster is pathetic and embarrassing. Dabo can be defended without attacking another coach.

I agree completely, I will add the inverse is also true by swapping the sports and coaches in your statement.
Posters should be judged and interacted with based on the content of their contributions. The tribal mentality needs to stop.

I'll say it again. You even stated in your first post that that all started because a certain poster began this poisonous attitude towards Dabo. So again, let's remove the root cause the problem and that should solve the problem.

I've never understood how bashing Clemson football for the sake of Clemson basketball, or vise versa ever made any sense.
In general it just seems petty. I almost wonder if CBB has not been 'vilified' simply because of some of the outspoken folks/views here...quite frankly as a football fan I've never really paid too much mind about basketball or our coach. I pull for them of course, but in general this atmosphere seems to be more drama off the court than on.
They are both Clemson programs. Also the balls are no where near the same shape. Why does one need to deflate the other?

I never made personal attacks against any of the coaches. I never reveled or made fun of our failures in either sport. I saw there were things too broken in our FB program to recover without getting rid of our DC at least. I pointed out we hired too many inexperienced coaches but said we already took steps to correct this problem. Once Dabo made the change at DC, I celebrated it as the perfect move and became optimistic again. I always defended Dabo's use of the portal. You won't find any hypocrisy of favoritism between the two sports from me. You can try as you might.

It shouldn't be hard to understand the difference between
A: Pointing out flaws/failures of a coach or team
vs
B: Going on months-long campaigns of negative bias and comically reveling in every potential critical angle of the team in order to spite a T-Net poster.
Anyone capable of self-awareness or honesty knows exactly what I am talking about. It's childish to pretend like this is a situation of merely people incapable of criticism vs people capable of it. That's a joke.

There is no requirement that we all have to be a bunch of cheerleaders.
Sports are for entertainment.
And when the only real source of entertainment is to joke about how bad it is, that is what people will do.
