A couple of y'all have asked my thoughts on FSU/UVA.

Fans are fans everywhere. After the game FSU fans were calling for Norvell to be fired, saying Malzahn is a fraud and Tony White has already quit and is heading to UCLA.

I'll just say this:

UVA did to FSU what fans were afraid Bama would do. They dominated both sides of the LOS in the trenches. They lined up and crammed it down FSU's throat.

People can talk about referees (I agreed with every instant replay decision), turnovers, dropped passes, missed opportunities, etc.

But FSU lost the game becasue the FSU front 7 was completely dominated by UVA OL and RB. FSU is much better than 2024, but not nearly as good as fans were hoping/thinking after the Bama game.

I picked UGA over Bama before last night. I'm more confident of that pick after last night.

I only caught OT. Must have been a good game though. I havee never had any use for Norvelle/ FSU after the covid cancellation. As far as Castellanos I liked him as a player at BC but the way he dropped them like a bad habit immediately after being benched was bush league. Stay and fight for your job and then transfer at the end of the season. To go all Kelly Bryant -ish and walk out is bush league behavior.

They tell me UVA spent $20M on NIL this year (more than TN they tell me), and that UVA replaced 15 starters with portal transfers. They claim UVA gave Tony Elliott everything he asked for and told him this season is goodbye without serious W-L improvement. Yesterday's UVA win was unexpected from my vantage point and theirs. The UVA alums are still not high on Tony Elliott, but they really like Son-of-Chad!
