punt in first qtr.at cuse..the two Clemson defenders stood in front
of the punt returner...he caught the ball and the never touched him.
We got flagged...why? I see that in every game with no flags.

because earlier in the game they had called the same penalty on cuse and the refs needed to even the score.
However, it was actually a good thing that penalty was called. If it had not been called they would have had the ball inside the 10 yard line and it is very unlikely they would have run the pitch sweep on the first play inside the 10. As it turned out they had the ball out past the 20, ran the pitch sweep, had a bad pitch and we returned it to the 3 yard line and ultimately scored.
So, in your face ref for a ridiculous call.
