Not that it really matters.. But why do we keep dropping in rankings with scout?

Scout is by far the worst recruiting service so who cares what they have to say.

ESPN normally has us higher than rivals... and rivals will have us higher than scout, I think Scout will often have the midwest teams Big 10, Big 12 not in Texas rated higher that rivals or ESPN.... Someone has a geographical bias in there ratings... surprise surprise.....

There is also geographical bias for players down south...

much the way it used to be with Notre Dame. There are a number of lower rated 4 star players (as in lower rated on the top 300 of some recruiting websites) from down south that are really 3 stars. With the advent of internet recruiting websites, the demographic for who follows recruiting changed from Notre Dame fans to fans of southern teams. I've noticed this with our lower rated 4 stars and SCU's lower rated 4 stars, they take longer to have an impact than the higher rated 4 stars. Now that's not scientific, but given Southern college football fans appetite for recruiting these days, these recruiting services overrate some players to keep their followers loyal or more optimistic. They did the same thing with Notre Dame recruiting for years.

Rivals and 24/7 are $EC homers. Amazingly ESPN's recruiting coverage isn't $EC biased, at least at a very much lower level than the normal ESPN $EC overhyping.

It will be interesting with this class of recievers coming in. Who will play? who will not? and who will transfer?
Cain and McCloud are probably more talented than any of the guys in the freshmen class. It's do or die time for G-Hop. And Mike Williams needs to prove he's ready to be an all-ACC type guy or he'll be fighting for a starting spot next year.
Shadell Bell is not to be overlooked. He doesn't have the athletic gifts that McCloud and Cain possess but he is long and by watching his film, he looks to have the same sort of aggressiveness that Nuk had.
Deshaun Watson will have no shortage of weapons. Imagine Artavis Scott and McCloud in motion, with all of the other weapons, not to mention a future NFL player in Leggett. Get those O lineman here in January and break them in quick.
