As usual, time for the "ROY" bus - Little Ole Clemson has only wone two of the last three national championships. If he bothered to check, Tebow would find this years defense is actually doing better thank last year. Oh well - we'll know after the championship game. Maybe we should start playing all the nobody's Alabama does to start the season LOL. Give credit where credit is due - Dabo is a gentleman and does not want to purposely embarrass anyone. Just win! Also, give NC credit - they played a great game. Oh, I digress, they're not in the hallowed SEC so they don't count LOL.

If by looking like a top 4 you mean both offense and defense looking amazing I think I was very clear you can't include Alabama Oklahoma LSU Georgia Ohio State essentially anyone who's in the top consideration. The reason is that no team comes out consistently looking great offense and defense especially if you're facing a varied array of opponents like Clemson has. None of those other teams has faced really the variety opponents in how they play their games. LSU perhaps could claim they have played quite well but they still aren't perfect either. That's the problem of expectations vs reality where everyone would love for the Tigers to play every week like they did in the championship game but that's not how football is played and it's definitely not how any team can restart a new season after losing some very good players. When you consider that Renfrow was really the biggest offensive hit to the Tigers it's no wonder that there's been some issues with making as many completions in that Midfield area. And we can honestly say some of the offensive play-calling has been lacking. And a few dropped passes and interceptions definitely can get your ire up but that's football.
Honestly right now the top four would be Clemson LSU Ohio State and Oklahoma and you could really move them any which way in any order you wanted to. Alabama doesn't belong in the top 4 as really their only an offensive component in their game and have not really faced any serious defense. Go back and take a look at their games this season and you'll find the secondary coverage is atrocious like every opponent has thought Alabama was going to run the ball instead of passed the ball forgetting that they have Tua not Hurts anymore. And he's just not going to run so you know that it's either going to be a pass or a hand off 90% of the time. But all their opponents have been giving the receivers a good to yards in coverage. Meanwhile Alabama's defense is probably the worst it's been in over 10 years giving up a lot of points. So including them in any discussion is ridiculous and only a self-serving sec position.. and we'll know it's true when they face LSU and look worse than Clemson facing North Carolina.

My sentiment exactly! Forget what these talking heads think. Forget Tim Tebow. Good guy and all.
If the CFPC were to cave in under pressure and not include a team that "is a Power 5 champion" and the prior years NC winner in a profound and dominant way - "heads will roll"!
Or at least - a re-writing of what it means to be a P5 would be re-written. You would basically only have the Big 10 and the SEC with contenders every year! The Pac 12 only has Oregon. The ACC currently only has Clemson. The Big 12 only has Oklahoma. Really - throw the Big 10 in the argument too - b/c besides Ohio St. who else has seriously been a title contender? Michigan St. made it one year when a few teams had 1 loss. Who else? Michigan - not unless it's 1997. Penn St. - is it 1986? No.
The ACC has had a wider variety of teams with success on a national level since the rest of the Big 10 has. FSU with their titles and Miami(was Big East but are ACC now) in 2001. VT played for one during the BCS era. So - tradition is winning the minds of these analyst is what it sounds like to me. Because actual metrics don't indicate other conferences should get the benefit of the doubt and multiple ranked teams like they do. Which in turn - keeps their losses as - "GOOD LOSSES"!

This is the best thing that could have happened honestly. Dabo's teams play better when they are the underdog, or have a chip on their shoulder and set out to prove who they are. Look at last years Natty, Clemson never had a chance according to the 'experts'. Our players showed up and shut the haters up and this year they'll do it again.
