If the Modern Era of college football was the last 25 years the "LOWLY" ACC has more National Championships in "FOOTBALL" than the Big 10.


FSU - 1999.
Miami(was in the big east - but are an ACC Team now). 2001.
FSU - 2013.
Clemson - 2016.
Clemson - 2018.

The Big 10:

Ohio State - 2002(worst D.P.I in the history of the sport gave them that).
Ohio State - 2015
Michigan - 2023

I laugh anytime people talk about the Big 10 "as if" it's this juggernaut conference. The top schools are good(true for most conferences, right) but not top to bottom good. In fact, past Ohio State most years the Big 10 can be hot garbage. Which is why you can all but pencil Ohio State in for wins. They can say the same thing about the ACC; but Duke has an annual beatdown of Northwestern. BC just beat Michigan State - but Sparty will still be talked up as if they are in the mix for a playoff spot by the time the talking heads finish. The math don't math though.

They generate lots of $$$$$. All that matters in this day and age. Trophies are a side matter.

This is true.

Also true. The Money is why so many people despise Pro Football.

Their refuge their safe harbor if you will is being consumed alive by that same "MONEY"! Where will those people run to next?
