I heard he's all Clemson and we are on the outside looking in. His mama wants him in a college town, not a big city. Last I checked, we were a lot bigger. Clemson is his dream school. Oh well.

I’m a Longhorn who loves the Tigers next. I’ve shared my story on here several times.

Every time we land a top Texas prospect, it shows the power of the Paw!
Most of our competition is from HUGE Texas schools, and big city urban schools.
The recruits always talk about culture and the special atmosphere at Clemson.
Go Tigers!

Oh yeah, I fell in love with Clemson not long after Dabo got moved up. My son in law’s brother was a walk on at Clemson when Dabo was the WR coach, and the brother played Wr and knows Grisham. I was actually in Greenville when Dabo was named interim coach and we have two grandkids in Greenville. I will say I was never a fan of any Bowden, however. Outside of Vince Young, DW and TL are my favorite all time college QBs.
Congrats on recent recruiting successes and I feel like more will come in the next few days. Those that were saying recruiting was suffering with DJ were wrong and Peter Woods is one of my favorite recruits in the past few classes. I feel he will dominate and I do believe I have an eye for talent.

Bama. Dabo Swinney is A great closer in recruiting. But Nick Saban is THE great closer in recruiting. Among other things, all he has to do is hold out his hands and flash all those Natty Rings. We will just have to hope that this particular young man will be more interested in the "uniquely Clemson" things that we have to offer, enough to offset that.

Saban has a H E L L of a reputation as a really awesome college FB coach, but when I was college age I had a pretty hot temper and Saban wouldn't have gotten away with talking to me the way he talks to others, and I'll leave at that, I'm almost 71 now.

Listen, fans can hate all they want, but Alabama has their share of culture as well. Mostly it's called winning, and winning big. Remember the Shula years? Mike Dubose? The whole Mike Price debacle? Saban turned around and won at Michigan St, LSU, and Bama. In addition to National Titles, the number of players drafted, Heisman etc. Yeah. why WOULD a player want to play for that bum? Moreover he had proven he can adapt to any of the changes that happen in CFB. NIL? No worries. Portal? Snags UTs starting LB right away. I will admit I'm a LITTLE jealous of that success. I wouldn't trade Dabo, but let's not act like Saban isn't THE most successful college coach of all time. Go Tigers!

I really believe the covid no visit rules hurt Clemson a lot. Not a factory but family so need the relationships. Its taken us 3 years to recover but look out here we come.
