BV has to change the defensive mindset at Clemson..

What I'd like to see is someone step up and lay someone out...it was sickening watching FSU runover (steamroll, flatten, obliterate, etc.) our D in the 3rd and 4th quarter. I told my wife that it seemed like our plan was to try and wear out the FSU O by letting them run up and down the field. BV is going to have to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with the D. Find the toughest/meanest players and put them on the field.

longer than four games - I still don't think he has the players he needs yet.

Some posts over the weekend talk like he has a stable full of All-Americans who are playing poorly just because of his style of defense. I don't think he has the talent and/or experience he has to have yet.

like the Steele era was similar to the Hatfield era....Steele's recruiting sucked and it is starting to show. I'm afraid that the cupboard is pretty bare. Keeping the recruits we have committed to us will be a huge step in the right direction.

Anyone with any football sense knows that it will take more than 4 games to correct...it will probably take more than 1 or 2 recruiting classes. If BV gets this group to "respectable" by the end of the season he will have done a great job.

was steele responsible for recruiting ? i think Dabo , Jeff Scott and Billy Napier were the recruiting coordinators at the time these kids were recruited.

One thing I noticed about good Defenses. Alabama, FSU and USC is they swarm the ball. Hardly ever one man there to make a tackle, and when they tackle they are looking to punish the blal carrier. Thats what I want to see from the Tigers. Make it a challenge to see who is gonna hit the Ball Carrier harder, how many people can be there blowing up lead blocks and driving the ball carrier backwards.
