Official Clemson vs Notre Dame prediction thread

I know I haven’t done this in a few years but here it is.
Notre Dame doesn’t have an explosive offense. they are ranked about 80th for plays over 20 yards. So this should be a game we can control. Domers are 51st in rushing defense and Tigers are 7th.
We should win this game easily with basic ball control offense and defense. 31-24 Tigers. TU for every prediction.

ND will be one dimensional on offense against the Tigers. They have 3 running backs that share duties running the ball but even that will not give them many yards on the ground so they will have to go with the pass which will not be successful enough to win the game since the majority of the pass game revolves around their tight end and you just can't win games against Clemson keying on one player. Clemson will establish the run game again which should open up the passing lanes so look for the Tigers to put the ball in the air with a healthy passing game along with a balanced rushing attack. Vegas has the game closer than I do. I have the spread at 15 points in favor of Clemson. CU 42 ND 27

Run the ball and throw to their TE Michael Mayer. They aren't particularly great at running the ball though and when they can't run, their offense tends to fall apart.
Their defense is pretty legit though and will cause our offense some problems.
But I think our defense will be able to control this game and allow us to pull away. If we take care of the ball we will win by 10-14. I'll go 27-17 Tigers in a game we kind of just grind out.

We gain 38 more yards a game on offense and the defenses are within 1/10 of a yard being dead even. They are playing better, are at home for a packed house night game. BT wins it late, Clemson 27-Notre Dame 24 and we dance and keep the dream alive.

Based on what I've seen with my own eyes, discussions with my die hard ND friend, and last weeks game against the moldy oranges, I will go with:
Clemson-35

As preached every week: turnovers and scoring in the red zone will be critical. The little green fellas have enough of a running attack to limit possessions and Clemson will need to score early to prevent this from being a nail-biter in the 4th quarter.
