Offensive philosophy

Was baffling again. Why did they stop running intermediate routes across the middle? Where was the motion? Had what 2 good throws to routes crossing the intermediate middle? Everyone plays Clemson the same the past 3 years playing the side lines aggressively. id wager 80% of passes were at the numbers or outside the numbers. Need to work the middle of the field to open up the sidelines, maybe then some of those stupid screens would actually work.

As for pass pro maybe its time to have an inline TE so they can at least widen out the DEs and give Cade an opportunity to step up, last night the DEs were coming in on flat angles and Cade had no where to step.

Would not mind seeing some sets with 2 TEs and 2 Rbs. Get the best guys on the field.

They thought they could waltz into Duke and win hands down. I guess they didn't expect to put up a fight. Looked like we ran maybe 3-4 plays just like Streeter's offense.

I believe the offense can get better, but that was a Frankenstein merger of Garrett Riley’s offense and Dabo’s Clemson offense. We need to accept that we will not have a passing game. We have two great backs and a decent run blocking oline. We will have to grind out wins once again.
