That was a very different situation. We played Bama to the wire the prior year in the natty... If we blow out the next 4 opponents by at least 4 touchdowns, MAYBE we get an at large bid. There is about a 0% chance SMU or Miami lose two to let us sneak into the Conference championship game.

Not that I'm wishing or hoping that it happens bc I'm not and I never have, but, if either of those two teams were to lose their QB for the season this weekend, either of them could easily get beat twice. Even if a tragedy like that happened for either of those two teams, our Tiger couldn't slip up again, and our next two games are @ VT, @ Pitt, and we could easily lose both those games...

Never assume that Miami will do what they need to do to achieve their goals.

Then again, if you're playing Miami you don't want to be in a situation where a review can make or break a game.
