Ryan Jenkins

For those who were bashing Jenkins about his 40 time saying he was too slow and we should hold out for other receivers here are few other players listed 40 times: Jaron Brown 4.77 Germone Hopper 4.56 Dwayne Allen 4.89 DeAndre Hopkins 4.55 Justin Blackmon 4.57. The kid is a ball player and will be a top notch possession receiver.

To me his 40 time had nothing to do with it....Just watch his film, its not impressive at all. Yes he has apparently done well at these combines...but thats toatlly different then doing it with pads on under the lights.

All of the receivers you named, except for Hopper, are substantially bigger than Jenkins so their lack of speed can be made up in their size and physicality.

Well everyone raved about Hopper and Blackmon is only two inches taller than Jenkins. Route running ability and agility are probably more important as a slot receiver than speed and size and Jenkins excels at both of those. His film may not be all that impressive but that is what the coaches are for. He has a pretty good skill set and with the right coaching and a year in the weight room he could become a pretty darn good one for us.

receiver. HANDS. Can he catch? You can get open, run great routes with blazing speed, jump higher than the tallest buildings, ... whatever. Catching the ball is THE most crucial consideration in choosing a receiver. From everything I've read, he has great hands. Welcome, Ryan.

I love his ability to get yards after the catch as well. His change of direction comes into making him look like a running back but with the hands and ability to run quick routs of a WR. I look forward to seeing him play

is that Dabo and Morris were impressed with him BEFORE the 'star' ratings came out. Meaning: They do not care about the star ratings. They saw talent, and offered. He's gotta be good.
