I've got news for you. Seniors drafted after the 10th round usually don't get busy money. Some teams might give them $1000, but that's usually it. That's way there's so much temptation to leave after the junior year.

Jeez I can't type today. Let's try again. Senior signs usually don't get BONUS money. MAYBE $1000, IF they're lucky. That's why the temptation to leave after the junior year is so great.

No, he is not kidding. I think the monthly minor league salary is around $1100 per month, minus around $300 per month for clubhouse dues. And they only pay you the 4 to 6 months per year you are actually assigned to a team. If I am not mistaken they don't even pay you during spring training.

Starting (first year players) get $850 per mo. Dues don't much exist at that point.

Spring training is at you own expense.
