The ACC's response to FSU, puts Clemson

In a position where it is time to take a stand. Either publicly be on FSU's side or the ACC. at this point, it is no longer to look like the quiet team player by working behind the scenes, rather looking like a coward and letting FSU be the bad guy. Clemson's history is to be that of a good soldier regarding the ACC. And it has gotten us where we are today, as well as no conference tournaments in the state of South Carolina. It got us an extra year of probation in the 80s. Clemson needs to issue a statement and take a side. The ACC's response to FSU is the same response they arevready to issue to Clemson. The line has been drawn in the sand and it is time for Clemson to have some balls and speak up. To make a statement on behalf of the ACC, would be like shooting ourselves at this point.

It's about legally being on FSU's side, not publicly....

There is nothing said that won't be used against you in a court of law. FSU has the "sunshine law" so they have no choice.

"The Clemson athletic staff and administration at all levels is closely monitoring the legal filings between FSU and the league offices. Our mission, as it always has been, is to protect the interests of our student athletes; and we will act as necessary to fulfill that mission. However, at this time it is inappropriate for us to comment on today's announced legal proceedings."
That is the correct response.

Support for the league. FSU was forced to be public because of sunshine laws, but the fact is, it is public now, no matter the reason.

No it doesn't. It shows you conduct your business in a professional manner. Just admit Clemson's approach isn't satisfying to your own personal liking.

Perfect response and I have no reservations that the Clemson Board will do what it always does and carefully consider all actions and do what is in our best interest.

Clemson has worked just as hard behind the scenes without making a spectacle. As a matter of fact within the last couple of weeks Clemson's legal team was at ACC headquarters examining both the GOR and the multimedia contracts.
Big 10 and especially SEC presidents has raised more than an eyebrow as to how FSU has gone about it's business this past year.

Nah, it really is best for Clemson to keep it behind closed doors right now until there is an absolute clear path to getting out. We all know they're on FSU's side. But throwing ourselves in the spotlight about it does not benefit anyone, nor do we gain anything as well, especially in legal cases.

And that has served us well on many occasions. Sometimes it is best not to say anything at all, and our silence alone speaks volumes on this issue.

Immediately. We are getting the shaft as much or more than LSU and it’s a very well crafted suit.

Let FSU fork out all the money on the suit, and just sit back and see where it goes. If it’s what we all think it is then I’m sure they won’t be in court for any longer than an hour if indeed they signed onto 2036.

while working behind the scenes to evaluate our current position in the ACC as well as other potential options.
Speaking out now helps us none.

Clemson will let them do the dirty work and heavy lifting then use a similar model or process to get out once a deal with SEC/Big 10 secured
