of that pistol spread offense they run hasn't been seen? Kinda like our offense seemed unstoppable last year and this year every team has watched and study our offense?

Our offense has had the same structure since Year 1 Chad Morris. Obviously we keep adding new wrinkles but I don't think our offense last year was so different that nobody had film or time to study it.
Louisville is good because they have the raw speed to gain the edge or to win a footrace. They also have the physicality in the trenches to allow for that speed to take them from good to top 10.

They haven't been middle of the pack since they joined the ACC...they're easily the 3rd or 4th best team for the past few years (sliding into 2nd best this year).

Like I said, take Jackson off and what have you got this year? Wouldnt be second I would wager. 3rd or 4th puts you in a log jam of middle of the pack teams.

Initially I was thinking you're right about them not being second this year, but I can't help but watch how helpless FSU was all over the field against them. Maybe it was just a snowball effect, but I think they win that game with or without Jackson.
Now, if you think 3/4 is a "logjam" then that's cool. I'd say there have been three tiers in the ACC recently:
- Us and FSU - UNC, UL, and barely hanging on with VT and Miami - Everyone else.
I think the argument could be made that UL has joined us and FSU in tier 1 in a similar position to VT and Miami in tier 2. Time will tell whether they stay on that edge, cement themselves as a top program, or fall back down.

Petrino builds teams, not programs

look at what happens when he leaves. They fall off the face of the earth and have to take years to get back where they were. Petrino leaves an undisciplined mess that someone else has to clean up.
He's great at building teams (especially offensive).

I can't think of many programs that don't take a step back when the coach that carried them during their ascendancy leaves.
After a few years Oregon has bitten the dust. Stanford is softening.
Anyway, I'm fine stating that Petrino knows how to assimilate the jucos, transfers, etc. and gets them to play as a team...and that he doesn't build a program.
I wouldn't hire him but he knows what he is doing.

Petrino will keep making the team better, especially offensively. They will be rivals until petrino leaves again. I personally think he would be a good fit at lsu and would make a lot of bank. But frankly his road to nc is a lot closer where he's at right now. We won the game and not taking anything away from it, proud of our boys. But a couple of things go differently and they win and are nc contenders. But I would like to point out to be the best you have to beat the best and Louisville you just didn't get it done in dv.
