Good luck to this young man. I hope he is able to find a team where he can get more playing time in the sport he loves. I believe we all would make a (and have made) similar decision in our own lives.
BTW Tim, as for the NFL, do you remember Tom Brady’s college career? As a casual fan of ‘other’ college football teams, I don’t remember him at all in college. . .

to save face with you. Actually, I had to do an internet search to even find that game (probably what you did, as well).
As I said, I don’t follow many other teams - and really didn’t know much about Brady until his pro career - like quite a few others - and it is a observation about Brady which I have heard a time or two, as well. I agree that the transfer portal is for the weak that is afraid of a challenge. They are scared of the steel that it takes to sharpen steel, is much stronger than what they're made of!!!

Disagree. This is a time where I agree with the decision. He wasn’t going to get much playing time this year at Clemson and he’ll be competing with players more on his level at Marshall. Not a head scratcher like Mike Jones.

He’s a graduate, so he’s fulfilled his commitment to the university. He would’ve been eligible to transfer without the portal, and he can certainly find more playing time somewhere else. I hope he finds what he’s looking for.
