BCS championship was always on a Monday starting 1999

The inauguration is at noon, and the national championship is at 7:30 PM.
People who want to watch the inauguration can do so and still have plenty of time to watch the football game.
Why would anyone possibly be offended by this?
Are you suggesting that no other important events should happen on inauguration day?
