No more 5 star QBs for a while!

I hope I’m wrong but I think Cade will be our last 5 star QB for a while. Going to be tough to get those type guys with this recent product we are putting out and no real draw other than the faith and family aspect of it at this point versus some of the other “big name” schools with great locations, CFP opportunities, big money, and willingness to get you skill players you need around you when you need them and not try and develop them when your hoping to only have 3 years here anyways. I hate what the portal and NIL have become but it is what it is and that’s what the players are looking at now and it doesn’t appear that’s what our leadership is looking at. I love Dabo’s mindset trying to do it the right way and will pull for him and the Tigers forever but we may not see what we just witnessed the last decade for a long time again.

You mean the kicker we had to call off the street back to campus bc we didn’t have any other option … shouldn’t have been in that position … but as far as today goes we lost that game with the terrible play calling settling for the fg and not being aggressive, that’s what i have the bigger gripe with rather than the fg miss

The other option was the top kicker in last year's recruiting class. What else was he supposed to do?

Point is still valid. The big 5 star guys are rare and hard to come by and want championships and money which we aren’t producing. You can win without them and that’s how Dabo built this place so I’m sticking with him too! Like I said I love what he does and will always pull for them. He has done amazing things here and got us 2 championships in my time which is incredible. Just think we are going to have to do a little “rebuild” over the next few years and get it back to where Trevor and crew left it which is fine by me! Hey I don’t help the team in any way shape or form so I can’t complain about anything.

Vizzina is already on the team so not really what I was talking about and yeah I said probably won’t get any more 5 star guys. A 4 star guy isn’t a 5 star guy.
