If we win another Natty, should Clemson double BV's salary?

Dec 24, 2019, 1:56 PM

Sign Coach V at least out to the length of Dabo's current contract, that defense & all these Natty's & CFP's are doing so much for school exposure & applications & enrollment & revenues, I think it would be a wise investment, because I believe he is the best defensive coordinator in the nation.

We should make sure he is compensated what he wants. I don't think he would want double. I could be wrong. But, if it's about money, pay him!

Don’t think a coot would spend money for a tnet membership. Could be wrong... but doubt it.

Bengaline I'll pray for your obvious deficiencies of character, have a nice day, not going to waste my time going down to your level, hope you & those close to you have a great holiday season, I personally wouldn't be spending this time capping on other Clemson fans, but you choose your path, don't blame me where it ends

He can't be a coot fan because coot's don't know the
way to Seattle.

Truth, Coots hardly know the way out of their trailer parks, I will move back to Greenville once I can, I need the medical insurance from my job, which has me trapped in Seattle for the time being, because of health issues I have been dealing with, I love the Carolinas, Clemson & NASCAR are my 2 favorite sports, can't wait to be able to go to Clemson home games & NASCAR races again, all my favorite tracks are within driving distance from Greenville

"I need the medical insurance from my job, which has me trapped in Seattle for the time being, because of health issues I have been dealing with" Welcome to the American healthcare system. I'm sorry you're having to experience it. If it gives you any comfort, Trump has promised he can fix it, easily.

I say double it or whatever it takes. I would give him a bump and give him a lifetime contract as well as make his buyout from another team like 30 million.

Re: If we win another Natty, should Clemson double BV's salary?

Dec 24, 2019, 2:14 PM

Yes, I agree, because at 2 million or whatever if some team comes in & offers 6 million, it's hard to turn down that kind of money, but if your already making 4-4+ it's much easier to walk away from that offer, especially when you are as happy as he is. I just keep thinking that if we have Dabo & Coach V for 20 more years, how many Natty's can we win??????

I think that Double would be a bit much. The average working fan is already being price out of going to to the games. And 4 mil for coordinators around the country would finish it off.

they can make that up through licensing deals or other avenues, there are lots of ways they can generate more revenue other than through ticket price increases

Under the coming rules will BV be able to make extra money off of his likeness. I wouldn't mind have a BV t-shirt. (BVD)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Still wouldn't be half what dabo makes***

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

The way college FB programs are rolling in the dough, wouldn't be surprised if CBV makes $4 million sometime in the future.

Definitely won't happen next year.

Not double, but a nice round $3M seems appropriate.

Dec 24, 2019, 3:24 PM

Had 5 players drafted in the top 4 rounds and lost seniors and others who would go on to be undrafted free agents and he turns around and has a BETTER defense this year? That man needs another million at the very least.

heck just triple it!***

We should keep him as the highest paid DC in the country.

Dec 24, 2019, 5:58 PM

BUT, remember, Clemson does not have an unlimited budget, and with the changes coming due to the "likeness" rulings, that budget could get way smaller for everyone, Clemson included.

Dec 24, 2019, 6:09 PM

they can always sell the naming rights to Memorial Stadium? That would bring in a #### load of extra money, if it's between losing Coach V & keeping the name or selling the naming rights & keeping Coach V for a very long time, I vote to keep coach V. Chik-Fil-A Memorial Stadium or Bojangles Memorial Stadium? Just saying, I am down for winning as many Natty's as possible

Why would the likeness money reduce the football budget ??
