NIL compensation

I found the following NIL article interesting and surprised that, based on ON3 and this article, players can expect a "starting 6 figure" NIL amount. Like it or not, deep pockets rule.

Pretty ridiculous. Fans can barely afford to go to games.

Ticket prices are high because demand is high. Season tickets for Maryland football were $99 last year, with no donation required, because there's not enough demand for those tickets. If Clemson season tickets are ever cheap again, it will be because the team sucks and not enough people want to go to the games.

On3 estimates are worthless we've covered this a hundred times***

This is what skews the entire recruiting cycle. HS players het offer, then they see supposed values, then the build self worth that only some players get but then said player expects money. So he takes an offef to commit then a yr later realized that the school sux and he goes to the TP for the next payout that is likely less since he never played as a freshman.

Worst college avenue to our future sports! Let's get paid!

North Carolina has allowed NIL for the high schools. I can’t wait to see how it works out.

South Carolina will to if it’s ever pushed. What part of you can’t tell someone what they are worth do people not understand. The Supreme Court was very clear. Can’t take away someone’s NIl without compensating them.
