If you have the chance, you definitely need to take the time and read the letter that Nick Chubb wrote in the Players Tribune today. Wow. Can’t say I’ve ever been a huge Nick Chubb fan. I’ve definitely acknowledged how talented of a RB he is but after reading this letter he wrote.. I’m 100% rooting for him.
Really incredible stuff with a fantastic message attached to it.

Chubb has always appeared very humble. This letter makes it easy to see why. Great post, our society needs more Nick Chubbs and many more Grandmas like his.

I have gotten to witness this type of story from the inside. Marcellus Dial. Yes, he played for SC but really wanted that Clemson offer. He had to go the junior college route because he didn’t have any D1 offers out of high school. His mother works two jobs and raised her children alone. She really struggled to make ends meet. I met her through my fathers business. We’ve become pretty good friends and talk a good bit. Marcellus was drafted by New England and he’s about to retire her. No more hood. No more struggling to pay rent. I couldn’t be happier for her. She worked so hard to give her children the best education without any help. I am supposed to be going to a game and eat and hangout with the parents of players in the New England luxury box. Marcellus loves that a Clemson fan is genuinely pulling for him to excel. At the end of the day, it’s all humanity working hard to improve their families lives. I feel honored to be able to view this story from an inside perspective.

That’s really awesome. It’s always great to get a reminder of how much more there is to football than just the game being played on the field. He’s got one more that will be rooting for his success in me now.

I have to admit, Nicks letter was moving. So many of these college kids are motivated by elevating their families. Most people struggle.

I think you hear all of these stories about it but you never really get that look into what it actually means until you get letters like this one, where the talk about the impact football had on not just his life but his entire families. So many others are in the same spot he is. Hard not to root for every single one of them. Regardless of what jersey they put on.

That was definitely a good read. Cleveland needs him and a few of their OL back. They lead the NFL with 31 sacks given up and that is currently 8 more than the 2nd worst team. Some say some could be avoided with better QB play but that I’m guessing could be true for a few of them, but it’s hard to maintain drives giving up that kind of yardage.

Can’t help but think what a great fit he would have been as a Tiger. But wow, what a great story. Reminds me of my youth. Mom would make us pull up 100 sandspurs a day to banish them from our yard, and I would swear that they grew back at a faster rate than we could pull them up. Maybe Mom was replanting them at night 🤔
Go Nick! Rooting for you!

Good Dawg! I'll never forget his first collegiate touchdown, a 47 yarder vs Clemson in 2014. If you go back and watch the youtube clip, a Clemson player rips Chubb's shoe off at the beginning of the run. He still outran all the other Clemson defenders all the way to the endzone. Dude was a beast.
Chubb's debut came in DWs first game too.
