Next season offense ignited

To me what this offense was missing to run Riley offense was explosiveness. The biggest part of that seemed to be WRs or the lack there of. But with the addition of Wesco and Moore and getting Turner back from injury. That’s going to ignite this offense like a stick of dynamite. Then there is Sammy Brown he’s a LB it’s what he’s recruited here to be. But given his athletic abilities you’d think he’d have a built in package on offense to. He can literally carry the ball or catch the ball big and strong and hard to bring down. A redzone package including Sammy brown would be huge. Then you also hope Cade puts on weight and is a bigger threat running the football next season. Possibly returning is Shipley and Mafah. This offense will be light years better next season.

Agree we should see a leap forward next year.
Only thing I'd argue is Sammy Brown RB usage. NO WAY you wanna risk an injury to a potential star player, especially at LB where we'll be thin body-wise.
We have Mafah and Ship along with some other RBs...unless we have a bunch of injuries to RB, SB getting an offensive package should be saved for blowouts when we're on the goalline or special team trickery.

I think even more than that is Cade having enough time to find them. Here’s hoping Matt Luke works wonders with these guys.

I think we should slow our roll on hoping these true freshman WR are day one starters and stars. Sammy Watkins don’t come around everyday. We’ve only had one Sammy Watkins. Ross was close but he didn’t really explode until the end of the season.
But still we should see significant improvement. Honestly I think it will have as much to do with Matt Luke coaching up the OL as it does the WR.

We had a 3* WR each of the last two years who both made big impact their freshman year. I believe we have three WRs from the 2023 class who took a RS so hopefully they will be able to contribute. We have 2-3 guys who are upper class are upper classmen so it is there time to shine. Then we have three guys coming in who will hopefully be able to contribute. I agree with you we need our OL to take a step forward and Cade needs to up his game as well in terms of pocket presence and finding the open receiver.

Cade is the key. He needs a big offseason of preparation and come back ready to execute up to his potential.

How often does a Freshman come in and lead and ignite the offense? It's rare. Think about what your saying. We still have an unproven, shaky QB that makes bad decisions at times and can't read a defense yet. It's very important to fill those holes with experience if you have the chance. I don't see anything wrong with going into the transfer portal and making a great offer, an offer they can't refuse on at least 1-2 WR, 1-2 O-lineman and 1 D-End. And now with 2 or possibly 3 departures in the secondary going after 1 or 2 guys to fill the holes in the defensive backfield.

While all that is great, I think the roster sits at 86 expected scholarships pending announcements after the bowl game and leading up to the draft. There just isn't room.

Next season will rest squarely on Cades shoulders

The Oline should get much better, the D will stay elite, RBs are top notch and receivers are upgraded. Coaching is upgraded too. So given all of that, Cade is the lone variable that can make or break next year. No pressure son, but you are it!

I agree with all that you wrote except that we upgraded at receiver. They are unproven freshmen. We don't know yet. I think Cade should be on the hot seat like Kelly Bryant was. If he doesn't perform the way a top tier QB should perform, if he is still making the same bad decisions and locking on to one receiver then after 4 games another QB gets the nod.

Cade having an impact running the ball is where this offense should be based from … like it always has but we didn’t have the fortune to run him this year bc 1- he wasn’t strong enough and 2- there was nobody behind him in case of injury… also like coming in should help this line immediately and in the future for recruiting and that’s a huge deal to maybe calm him down some

We know Wesco and Moore will start at the bottom of depth chart

Where will they go from there? Redshirt? Starter?
Antonio Williams and Tyler Brown should start. Randall, Stellato, Turner, Hanafin, and Noble Johnson will be competing with Wesco and Moore for snaps. Is Wesco the missing deep threat?
