or inside info? Just curious. If this new guy from Cincy is Halls spot do we also replace Leyte? We tend to need big guys because of foul trouble. That was my one hope that Godfrey had he stayed would be less foul prone

It's my understanding that we were looking for an experienced guard and 2 big men prior to RJ transferring. I would think we are still looking for the same, even with Lakhin. But big men are hard to come by.

First, with what I would call big man. we have had in a while. Unless I have forgotten someone.

In looking at the NCAA tourney Purdue, Connecticut, and SC(women’s) all had a big body. Seems most decide to play what the NBA would consider forwards with no true center.

Everyone is shooting the 3. The days of posting up on the blocks and backing in for a contested layup/dunk are gone. Teams will still look for height as it helps with rebounding but true Centers in the NBA left with Shaq. Hakeem Olajuwon would have dominated even more in today's NBA.

The best players from the 2 tournament teams were back to the basket bigs. The best players on 4 of the elite 8 teams were post up bigs. Saying big man are not the focus is just a factually false statement

With the most recent commitment, we have one scholarship open. If PJ declares for the NBA as expected, we will have two spots open. One more big then a ninja from three-point land would be my guess.

With PJ leaving, and Chase comes back Clemson will be looking for two more players- another big who is athletic and little bigger than Godfrey, and/or the best athlete in the 6-4 to 6-8 range. That might be the replacement for Godfrey if dont get that in the 2nd big.
Clemson has contacted Joshua Ola-Joseph at Minnesota who Clemson recruiied in HS. Finished in his top 3 with Minnesota and Loyola Chicago. 6-7 and can play both forward positions.

I watched the Ola-Joseph tape last week. He can ball and can connect at all three levels. Very athletic. He would be a great addition but I'm sure we wants to go somewhere and start. He and Wiggins would be battling for minutes.
