Maybe we should all know.

Firearms - firearms carried as checked baggage MUST be unloaded, packed in a locked hard-sided container, and declared to the airline at check-in. Read our Firearms & Ammunition section.

Straight from the TSA website. Yes the media says it was in his carry on luggage but that doesn't mean he wasn't going to check it. He told them at the check in that he had a gun. You as an american citizen have every right to have a gun in an airport. The media also said it was a loaded gun but please tell me how a gun is loaded when the magazine isn't even in the gun?

Looks to me like we are all clueless. He wasn't arrested because he had a gun in an airport. He was arrested because of the unconstitutional gun laws that the state of New York carry.

New York Law says bullets NEAR a gun make it a loaded gun.

Not sure how that works.

Ya I don't understand that at all. Then again that goes back to the gun laws of New York. The only gun that can shoot a bullet is a loaded gun. A gun can't shoot a bullet if the bullets are not in the gun.

Evidently he did not take the concealed weapons course.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You most certainly can take a gun into an airport

Feb 19, 2013, 2:03 PM

People check guns in their luggage all the time. You have to declare it as well like he did. You can't walk onto a plane with a gun though. Two different things.
