Best I've ever seen. If you didn't know better, you would think it was all about Coach Murph...and in KJ's eyes, it pretty much was!

Agree. Honoring his coach before his spotlight. Rare among athletes who rate themselves above most . 1st class

the right thing when they have the world's attention. More importantly is they do the right thing when no one is watching. That is the true determining factor between a Tiger and everybody else. That was the best ever. I hope a lot of rising HS Sr's watched KJ blow the bar up.

This Coaching Staff & Type Of Kids Who MAKE it w/them!

You had better have Heart, Determination, Character, a true north Moral Compass and Class if you are going to get a Clemson offer! Dabo is turning this to the Duke of Football. Translation: kids who can make the grades, kids who are not going to be off the field or on field distractions. Good kids who will work; even if a more talented kid is rated ahead.............they prefer the more character having kid. Helps when the kid can also play! Kudos to this staff for finding kids " who fit " over maybe some other kid who while talented, "just would not buy in or fit in at Clemson"! By the way KJ handled "the biggest moment as a young adult" in his life: " he is going to fit into what CU and the football program has going on perfectly!

That was truly a class act. That clip should be shown to every prospect before he commits. A true mark of character that defines the Clemson football program. Makes me even more proud to be a Tiger.

Most adults couldn’t present/speak that well in front of a crowd. I think he could have a great career after Clemson and the NFL.

Loved that announcement. Definitely a well raised young man that I am sure made his parents proud today. Not for his getting a scholarship but for his love and respect for a coach and person that obviously made an impact in his life.
Welcome to Clemson KJ!!!

I think a lot of US could have learned something today watching Mr. Henry. Being a great football player is important to all of us supporters and fans of Clemson U. but there really are things equally as important as on the field performance. Henry showed a large following what being a Clemson man is all about today in a very short time. Let’s all learn from this teenagers actions. The news has been filled this week of players making some foolish choices while representing their universities so this display by KJ is a welcome sign of what can be good about college athletics. Isn’t it great to see ole Clemson U. On this front page too? What an impact this kid will have on football for the next several years.

Not tooting my horn but saying I have been saying he was coming to Clemson and he has a class act family. They live about a mile from my house in Clemmons and go to church and are very involved in making the community better.
I tried to explain they were class acts when several said he and his dad were in it for themselves and his dads job, it really hurt me for them because I know they are great folks, CLEMSON folks, class acts. They always put others before themselves. We should expect the best out of the kids Dabo reaches out to.
I’m so happy he is a Tiger and can’t wait to see the impact he has on our program. Maybe a few years from now Dabo will hire his dad as our RB coach because he is a heck of a coach too.
Today was such a blessing for all of us CLEMSON fans because we took huge steps to being a consistent dynasty in college football for many years to come, it was a Jiant day!!
Go Tigers

There was a story on CollegeFootballTalk yesterday about Dabo and what he said about Urban Meyer. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/20/five-star-recruit-picks-clemson-over-ohio-state-says-dabo-swinney-told-him-urban-meyer-is-on-backend-of-career/
Somebody made the following comment: "Clemson is a classless program from top to bottom." I could shrug that off as a jealous Ohio State fan, but what really got me is that the comment got 21 thumbs up to 27 thumbs down. Where in the world would so many people get that impression??? Scandals here are almost non-existent. Any problems are dealt with immediately and appropriately. The team hardly gets the chance to prove it anymore, but they have been good losers. And when they win, they are humble winners.
As far as I can tell, the Clemson football program is nothing BUT class, "from top to bottom." And KJ Henry chose Clemson because that's what the kind of guy he is and the kind of team he wants to be part of.
