The medical staff told him it was best if he watched from his seats and that they encourage older and elderly people to stay off the sidelines during most games.

Give the old man a break. The reality is, a capacity crowd yelling inside a dome is going to be louder than a capacity crowd yelling at an outdoor stadium. Besides, none of our opponent's coaches want to go on the record about Memorial Stadium's intimidation factor -- that would frighten their own players before they even got there.

Bring a game that stays close and keeps the fans on their feet, you really have no idea Petrino and are totally off your rocker...see any dB records attached to Syracuse's stadium? Because Memorial Stadium has one (for all you Louisville lurkers that also have no clue).

I've been a Clemson fan since I attended my first Tiger football game in 1973Because of health reasons I hadn't been to Death Valley in over 15 years but I had previously attended every game for over 20 years.
I took my Granddaughter to her first Clemson game this year when UNC came to town and I am proud to report that Death Valley is louder than ever! I have been to World Cup soccer finals and watched football games all over the country (and that includes Syracuse ) but I have never heard anywhere as loud as Clemson.
This poor fellow is in for the biggest shock of his life!

I think the salt and pepper shakers that the NC State coaching staff used to eat their words in regards to noise not being a factor at DV are still in the Visitors Locker Room Coaches area !! LOL Another thing about DV, it will be cooler than the Carrier Dome. I couldn't put my finger on it at first, but realized there was something different about this game. Then, all of a sudden, it hit me.....THERE WAS NO FREAK'N NOISE!!!!.....none at all. Seriously, it doesn't matter how loud your crowd is on Saturday. Could it get louder than a domed stadium? Possibly but it is outside. The domed crowd had trapped in noise from their 38,000 or so crowd.
The fact of the matter is that once it's too loud for the O-line to hear, they go to hand signals. Whether it's a 38,000 crowd that gets it to that point or an 80,000 crowd. It. Doesn't. Matter.
That being said, our O-line is having it's issues without noise so the crowd noise definitely will not help.

My nephew and I are coming down from Columbus, OH. Will be in section N, front row (row A). Directly behind the Louisville bench. I can promise you --- we will be screaming our heads off. I have an old megaphone I got at a CU-USuC game many years ago. Think I may have to bring it and direct it at the dirtbag specifically.
