OrTre Smith talks Clemson, summer plans
One of the nation’s top receivers for the 2017 recruiting cycle put on a show last weekend at the EPT Skills Showcase at Newberry College, putting the rest of the state on notice that he’s one of the Palmetto State’s best players. OrTre Smith also has Clemson on his mind. (Photo by David Grooms) Full Story » |

Well, I'm glad that he likes to be pushed and work hard, bc that's the type of players that Clemson goes after, plus the ones that's not afraid of good grades!!!

I hope he like what he sees at Clemson. We have so much to offer, not just on the field, but in the classroom and in character buiding. He can't go wrong with Clemson.

Which one do we want most? Is Smith a candidate to play tight end?

Rodgers, Higgins and Smith would be a stellar WR haul.

The coaches have already stated we are looking to take 1 more receiver, with Smith and Higgins both being over sign candidates (so we will definitely take both if they both want to come). And yes, what a haul that would be.
Smith - Demaryius Thomas
Rogers - a thicker Sterling Shepard with more leaping ability (honestly the dude is a 5 star for what we are looking for in our 2-man slot)
Higgins - Randy Moss 2.0, certified stud

Wando a few times and while he's not a burner, he's the kind of guy that you throw it up to any time he's in single coverage and more often than not he comes down with the ball. He's excellent at shielding with his body and high pointing the football.

As a Mount Pleasant resident, I have seen this kid play, and he has huge potential...Love to see a Wando Warrior in the CU Tigers lineup. Dig deep and believe the dream!

It would be special to see him end up a Tiger. He really is a great kid.
My son played baseball with him until he gave it up couple of years ago, so I haven't talked with him lately. But, he's an exceptionally talented athlete and we know is momma loves Clemson .
