New Blood: Which players will emerge as team leaders?
Clemson’s football held its annual awards banquet in the indoor practice facility Saturday night, and watching the broadcast and seeing the different players that received many of the awards brought a point home: many of this team’s leaders are moving on to bigger and better things. The question now becomes: who will be the leaders for mat drills, offseason conditioning, spring practice, summer workouts and fall camp? Who will step into the shoes of Eric Mac Lain and Ryan Norton and B.J. Goodson? Full Story » |

May be newbies and doubting themselves. He will be that bridge from the leaders like Artavis to the new guys coming in. Renfrow and the newest guys will be able to relate very easily. Follow his lead.

should be given by all Tigers.
We were told by all the recruiting gurus -
many self-styled and from here on this board itself -
that we were simply getting a 4* TE when he signed.
Well, they shorted him a couple of stars,
missed his position by two gaps, and
completely whiffed on his primary importance to the team and program.
Thank you RecruitingNET -
I'll make sure to remember this next time someone here
comments on the recruiting, development, and roster management practices
of the Clemson Coaching staff.

I agree with letting the coaches do their jobs. They have recruited some great players and I know that they will continue. We need great players and I think the players we have will be "Next Man UP". Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christian Wilkins was becoming a leader last season. After the NC game he went around the locker room and thanked all the players, especially the seniors.

Does he have the leg to boom kickoffs into the end zone? 2015 was not indicative of this.

Leadership isn't only about experience. Some guys are leaders early and some never are. Watson was a leader as a true freshman, and will continue to be the leader of the offense and the team. Gulermo anchoring the OL is great and guys like gallman Scott and leggett only make the job easier on offense. On defense Wilkins was somewhat of a leader as a true freshman, he just has it. Between him and Watkins and boulware front seven leadership is there. We need leaders to develop in the secondary it may or may not be the seniors, it's no as simple as just listing the seniors and saying those are the leaders.
