It's certainly not the basketball head coaching position.

At least we're already used to a terrible fielding percentage... I kid, I kid.
I really like this hire. I expect big things from this program going forward.

I was hoping someone would've ask him if had all the feathers out of his skin, and if he would have a problem of literally crushing the coots if that chance ever comes. Also ask him if he would have a problem with saying, SUCK IT COOTS! ! !

Glad nobody thinks he's a coot anymore..... Anyone going to the Rolling Stones concert that the advert keeps popping up for?

guy LOOKS like a coot fan. You guys know what I'm talking about? Dark hair and a short goatee with small facial features? I realize this post is ridiculous, but the guy looks like a coot who lost a bet and had to wear Clemson gear. And that has nothing to do with his coaching background. Even if you disagree with me about Lee... I know I can't be the only one who has noticed a connection between short goatees on skinny-faced dudes usually being coot fans.

Relax, I already said I know it's ridiculous. But I can usually predict if someone is a coot fan without hearing them or seeing team gear. It's like a game.

Good thing for those two out of those three is that TDP hired them and their performing. It will be interesting to see how Drad's four hires do. The Track and Field is performing but was under the previous coach too. So Baseball, Volleyball, and Rowing we will have to see.

Totally agree. Dabo and Noonan have a vision for their programs and have surrounded themselves with coaches and players that are building toward Nat'l Championship caliber teams. Brownell is faced with a recruiting barrier that will never be overcome at Clemson. Lee on the other hand should talk with Dabo and Noonan and develop the baseball program in a similar fashion because our history is solid due to the great work done by Wilhelm and Leggett.

Great hire. Have followed him down here in Charleston and gone to several games. Great Coach and he is as he says. Plays loose, but aggressive and his players love him. Already had one pitcher decommitted from CofC and.is.headed to Clemson as a true freshman. Probably will see several more join him at Clemson. Very well respected Coach and he is loved by his recruits. Can't wait to see the staff he puts together. GO TIGERS!!!

Welcome to the REAL world of competitive baseball. I wish you well. The fan base expectations where you have been do not compare to Clemson. Also, remember how a Hall of Fame Coach was treated. He was asked to fire his pitching coach who had the conference pitcher of the year and two pitchers drafted by MBLD. Good luck!

and that pitching coach did not call the game when that pitcher of the year was pitching, and was not calling the game for any pitchers toward the end of the season. That HOF coach was going downhill. That HOF coach had been going downhill for years. Do you think that CofC did not face some very competitive teams? You don't keep a coach just because he is HOF. Jack had his chance to keep his job and failed.
Just this year they beat Va Tech, beat /coastal Carolina who was ranked, beat Auburn twice and beat Ga Southern...who Clemson lost to. Last year won 2/3 against unc, swept the Florida regional. How can you say they have not played competitive baseball?
