So Stephen Carkeya said the coots won 10/11 games 5 years in a row? Yeah, that didn't happen. Try 3 years. They only have 4 10+ win seasons in their 114 year history. Nice try.

It would be shot up with paintballs if not after the diehard #### fans read this. As for Garcia theyd say they knew he wasnt a "real" #### to begin with, and hes was really just an undercover Tiger lover the whole time. What a time to be a Tiger! Spot the darn ball already! Go Tigers! ! !

We can gloat: in one week we had one of their winningest QBs and their winningest coach both say pleasant things about Clemson and if not to the detriment of our rival, at least to their exclusion.
But really we should take note of what is really going on here. We have a coach who is even winning over his enemies. I do not expect any team to lie down for us, but Dabo is raising the level of the conversation. We are mighty fortunate.

There's actually plenty of sc fans that pull for Clemson, especially in Charleston. I'm from SC so I would much rather see Clemson win a natty over Alabama, UGA, Florida or any of those other schools. And I bet Dabo and most of Clemson's instate players probably feel the same way about Carolina. Its just you fans that take everything so personal and seriously. I'd love to see Clemson and Carolina play every year for a shot at the playoffs.

Garcia might have liked to have played for Dabo but wouldn't have liked his discipline. Not going to get 6 strikes before you're out in Tigertown.

We only heard about six of them. I imagine Spurlid kept many of his exploits hidden from view, and I know it pained spurlid to have to can him.

Well, neither of them are very credible sources of reference, but it's nice that they seem to understand what we have become. They better get used to it, because we aren't changing, and neither are they. They still are a dumpster fire, and we are on the mountain top. Justice served!

Garcia says with honesty that he hopes we lose all of our games. That's how it should be. I don't really *care* that much what he says, but I at least appreciate that he still attaches meaning to the rivalry.
Spurrier OTOH can suck it.

I've never understood the whole we want them to lose every game mentality. Is it because they have already achieved that and want the same for us?

Hate to say I told you so, but several years ago on this board I wrote that I knew for a fact that Spurrier and Swinney (and their families) were very close friends. This was in the midst of the "rants", "barbs", and "high five" years. Naturally, no Clemson or South Carolina fan wanted to hear the truth, that all of Dabo's and Steve's supposed animosity toward one another was strictly for the consumption of the fan bases, a la the Frank Howard method. So yes, I am feeling a little smug and vindicated this morning.

As for needing to hate your rival, or any team, I know plenty of Clemson fans who don't really hate South Carolina, and also plenty of SC fans who really don't hate Clemson. It's always fascinated me that the litmus test for being a "true fan" among all fan bases is gauged by the amount of psychotic hatred for your rivals. I'd say the key word there is "psychotic"! As for the coaches, they understand that school loyalty comes with the paycheck, and in that particular profession, you may be either forced or coerced by money to change colors and allegiances at a moment's notice. Brad Scott, Tommy West, Miles Aldridge, and Ellis Johnson are a few recent ones that come to mind.

I wish the entire city of Columbia would be eradicated from the face of this planet.
But I realize losers need a team to cheer for too. Bless their hearts. They love referring to themselves as C@CKS. It makes them feel "adequate".

Somebody go interview Steve Tanneyhill about Clemson. If that slimeball (for those that do not remember, he "signed" the paw at DV in 1992 after finally getting a USuC win after 4 straight losses) is now a Clemson/Dabo convert, then Columbia will officially cease to exist. Time to move the state Capitol.
