....and give it to Travis Etienne. Let him be a part of the plays that he does know and sit back and enjoy it.....and let Travis enjoy it because it appears he is earning it.
Its a long season and we are going to need all the fresh legs we can get. We are definitely going to run the ball with Kelly Bryant too....so the running game could be more of our strength than we know later in the season.
We got a lot of talent all over the place...pick the right spots to use it all this year.

Notwithstanding the pithy, even amusing irrelevant previous posts (most were), TE seems to show amazing promise as a complete RB. Perhaps an early season uhummm. Jesting aside, we sure recruit some hummers. Love it Tigers.

Do a fewnplylays, he may be the home run threat that would be nice to complement the rest of our team. I get he's not an every down back YET. This dude has IT.

Anyone else get the feeling this could be part of Feaster's mental issues?? Starting to feel the pressure of a freshan coming in and being the most productive, while both have pass protection issues?

Feaster is better in pass pro right now. Feaster has never looked instinctive inside, though. For whatever reason he's always been a pure space guy with no feel for the cutback lane who really doesn't have much contact balance for as big and strong as he is, which means he goes down just way, way too easily for as jacked as he is.
Feaster, to my eyes, looks (and has always looked) like a luxury back, like a better version of Zack Brooks, who you can bring in later on in games, especially against tired defenses. He does not look like a bell-cow, feature guy because he simply cannot get it done between the tackles right now.
I think Feaster will contribute...albeit as a #2, change-of-pace guy. I still think the feature back spot is up for grabs...I would expect CJ Fuller to start there early, but I would also expect Etienne to start pushing him, and very quickly. Etienne is just plain the fastest, most explosive, and most-talented of our RB's, and the sooner he gets his pass-pro down and gets comfortable with the offense, the more you're going to see him.

Quozzel, I usually agree with you, and I am here, to a point. I think it is safe to say Feaster needed to get more going between the tackles when he arrived, but I hold out hope that this year tells a different tale. If he does he will be a complete back. I think the jury is still out on his career. Hey, I hope all of our backs are great, but as long as one turns into a beast, I'm happy, whoever it is. Besides, one of the most highly regarded backs in our history was never a true between the tackles guy. He also wore #28. I know, TNET blasphemy, but even when he was on the team, I always thought Davis was by far a stronger back.
