Confident Tigers take aim at Gamecocks
Monte Lee is ready for the best rivalry in college baseball. Clemson’s first-year skipper takes his 6-1 Tigers into this weekend’s series against arch-rival South Carolina, and it’s a series that Lee – who grew up in South Carolina and coached for the Gamecocks – knows all about. Full Story » |

I know he's only a freshman and it's early in the season, but I really hope Higginbotham rights the ship. He's a very talented young pitcher, he's just been getting hard in his two starts. Not having a reliable Sunday starter will hurt us later in the season.

ahead with the c0cks, should be exciting! That crisp clean freshly lawnmowered lawn smell of spring isn't quite here, but it's close... that spring smell + open windows + beer in hand + Clemson baseball = perfection, as far as I'm concerned! Go Tigers!! Beat the dirtpeckers!!

Best rivalry in college baseball?

Better than SC-Stanford, Arizoan-Arizona State, Texas-Oklahoma, Miami-FSU?
It is a dang good rivalry though.

coach? I am sorry if it is a dumb question but they have earned their keep. We have not squared up on pitches or attacked the plate like we have so far this season. I hope we just continue to get better.

I promise you don't get that kind of intensity at SC-Stanford or Miami-FSU. Maybe Texas-Oklahoma, MAYBE.

I would guess that Arizona-Arizona State is the most

intense because they have 4 and 5 national championships respectively, but who knows?

but based on attendance numbers there aren't nearly as many fans at those matchups. Considering that the top 4 teams based on attendance are all in the SEC West (LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Miss St.) I imagine some of those rivalries are pretty intense too. Particularly Ole Miss-Miss St.

Any of you so called "expert opinion staters" who question whether this is the Beat Rivalry in Baseball/Football have obviously NEVER been preparing/playing on the fields of play during one of these contests!!!
This IS the BEST RIVALRY in College Sports, bar none!! Only one close is Alabama/Auburn even though I never played in that one.
Let's go TIGERS! Beat those Chicken Chitters! They Suck!

There ahould be a game played in the Lowcountry , I don't know ...at the Joe in Charleston maybe ? That way you'd truly be canvassing the state . Would love to see that , and not have to travel 2 to 4 hrs to see us play the Coots . Anyway ... GO TIGERS , BEAT USuC

I think there were pretty serious logistical issues that lead them to move it back to Greenville.
