Here we go once again with this focus on ACC health and the revenue stream divided amongst it's many institutions .
I'm just over her All In and All Clemson .

Top level competitors in almost all sports.....and the lowest payout by far.....seems like we continue to let the wrong people run this conference.

In Case You Didn't Notice As an ACC School...

We just won the National Title and FSU did it a few years ago....Clemson has everything it needs to be successful in the ACC...
There are many programs out there that regardless of how much money they have will never be a draw to top recruits consistently....

This was expected. We didn't have Orange Bowl money this year. That number will jump with the OB and the ACCN dropping. We are in fine shape, obviously.

In $19M more a year than us. Hasn't hurt yet but it will over the long haul unless morons running the ACC figure it out.
D@mn disgrace that sc will bring in $190M more than us over the next 10 years if things stay status quo. That is comical and bordering on criminal what they have stolen as a member of the sec.

It's also border line criminal what Notre Dame has done to the ACC. It's time for them to get in or get out. Between the ABC deal and ACC revenue, they are making nearly double of what the highest earning ACC school makes.

individual school / member merchandising agreements as others apparently do. Good for a school like us with such great graphics and fervent supporters. Our gap isn't as extreme as it seems here. The network will be a nice bonus when it kicks in. The status quo is changing.
Go Tigers.

that money is an issue for Clemson? Tied to that question, please show how money is giving any other school an advantage over us?
Knowing that you will not be able to answer either of those questions, maybe then you can admit money is not a factor for Clemson.
Case closed.

In most cases the hardest working is usually the least paid, and seems true here as well. It might make Clemson a better program because it doesn't need to souly rely on conference money to be successful, where other schools have to have the extra money from the other conferenceside and still not be able to do what Clemson can. Clemson doesn't need the ACC, the ACC needs Clemson at this point, I wonder how much lower those numbers would be if Clemson and FSU hadn't been as successful as they have been over the last 8 years.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Is it just me, or does it make anybody else that gets sick to hear swoff bragg about something that he had not a thing to do with, nor has he encouraged any of it. What I'm talking about is FB, the #1 major sport in college sports. Clemson has moved into a position to where we can compete against any team on any Saturday. We have in our conference as of now, Clemson, FSU, and Louisville competing against our and other conferences at a high level. Clemson, FSU, and Louisville, I will say in the past 4 years has brought a pile of money into the conference with FB only being a 12 game season sport, with extra games played bc of the high number of wins within the 12 game season.
Just Clemson and FSU, the money those two FB schools has brought to the ACC.
The 2013 season, Clemson beats OSU in 2014 Discover Orange Bowl. The 2013 season, FSU beats Auburn in the 2014 Vizio BCS National Championship Game. Big payout for the ACC!!!
The 2014 season, Clemson beats Oklahoma Sooners in the 2014 Russell Athletic Bowl. 2014 season FSU loses to Oregon Quacks in the Playoff Semifinal in the Rose Bowl. Big payout for the ACC.
The 2015 season, Clemson beats Oklahoma Sooners again in the 2015 Capital One Orange Bowl playoff game. Then Clemson goes on to play in Football National Championship, and we lose a close one to Bama. 2015 season FSU loses to Houston Cougars in the 2015 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. But again Clemson and FSU brings big payouts to the ACC.
The 2016 season, Clemson plays in it's second playoff game, and skunks OSU in the 2016 PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. Clemson then moves on in back to back seasons, and plays for and wins the College Football National Championship in Tampa, FL. Go Tigers!!! The 2016 season FSU beat the Michigan Wolverines in 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl. Another huge payout for the ACC conference.
With all the money that Clemson and FSU has brought to the ACC since 2013, both teams, Clemson and FSU has lost money by playing in post season bowl and championship games. Then we have Swofford talking about how healthy the ACC is, he forget to mention how wealthy the conference has gotten except for the bread winners Clemson and FSU who lost money when the rest of the ACC gained money from our big bowl and championship appearances. That SOB makes me feel like my ### has sucked a lemon. I really have nothing but disgust for that person....

Lack of leadership at the top of the ACC
May 20, 2017, 7:27 PM

The ACC should not be this low in financial distribution to each school of the power 5. Swofford has been passed in terms of leadership in todays business world. Any deal he does is not as good as it should be. He is an 'ole dog' in a modern world. Time for this CEO to be fired and a new on brought on to give the ACC the leadership it should have in being one of the best academic and athletic conferences in the country.

The ACC shouldn't be last in power 5 conferences! Swofford's lack of leadership, vision and innovation is shining through and if he were a business CEO, he would be forced out! Every deal he's overseen recently reeks of lack of hard nosed business sense and is not in the best interest of our conference. A change in leadership is needed!

So the ACC has

had a CFP representative each year, despite being the 'supposed' weakest Power 5 conference. And...Swoffie & Company think a $19 million shortfall versus the conference the ACC MOST competes directly with is OK? In private business, that line of reasoning gets you fired in a heartbeat. While the 'delusion' about the ACC's health might be fake...the $ discrepancy versus the remaining Power 5 conferences is pathetic.

Given the state of ESPN, the hopes of a jackpot payday may be over. ESPN has overextended itself, and with changing viewing habits, the hope of scoring big with the ACC Network may have come and gone.

Time for Wake and BC to get asked to leave. As much as I enjoy these two schools they need to go.
