For some reason I have this gut feeling that he will be one we felt good about and missed out on in the end like a Montravius Adams, Carl Lawson, Raekwon McMcMillan, etc.
I have absolutely no proof behind that. Just a gut feeling. Either way I wish him well, whether he's playing for us or not. He seems to have a good head and he's a heck of a player. So someone's getting a stud.

The difference is, none of the aforementioned three ever commented such that it seemed like Clemson was in. For KJ, he's doing his utmost to explain why Clemson isn't OUT. That's my view, solely.

I wouldn't say we were "mediocre" then. But you do make a point. Auburn and OSU coming off championships and Clemson was just a top 20ish team with potential when those guys came through. Now the roles are different.

I get that impression, too. He sounds very interested in Clemson, and I believe him when he speaks so highly of what he sees at Clemson. I hope we are his choice. He wouldn't regret his decision, but he has handled the whole thing very maturely. Good luck to him, and to us with landing him.

Oh, I totally understand your point of view. I don't know KJ or his family, that was just how I kind of perceived things.
I could be very wrong, and I hope I eat crow about KJ come February 2018 when he signs on the dotted line.

Both he and XT are intelligent. It's one thing to be a physical monster, it's quite another to be both physical and smart.
Those are 2 1st rounders. Devastating to have both on the same team.
I hope he chooses us, but I have no doubt he'll do well wherever he goes.

He seems very focused on making the right decision on where he will go. He would be a great addition to 2018 class and will be competing for playing time immediately. Will be a dynamic addition at DE without a doubt. Looking ford to seeing him at the top of The Hill in Tiger Orange! GO TIGERS!!!

Man I want to land Henry. With him and XT on the ends they could possibly be the best DE duo clemson has ever had and that is saying something considering all the great DE we have come through Clemson. Henry slayer and carman Jackson are the top players I want clemson to land, if we land those 3 it be best class in the trenches we have ever had and will lay the cornerstone to more national championships!! This 18 class will win a national title b4 they leave clemson mark my words!!!

Sure, I might be reading too much into it but...he could be telling us.
He said, "....and realized I couldn't make it, I let COACH know.
Think about this difference, I let Coach Swinney or Coach V or Coach Bates, etc know.
I let Coach know. That says to me, Mr. Interviewer, you already know who my Coach is so I don't have to say his name. "I let Coach know", sounds possesive to me.

Idk, I would probably refer to Dabo or any of our OC's/DC's as "coach" if I saw them in public.
"Great year last year coach, Go Tigers!"
Never played for them a day in my life.

Kind of reminds me of Mackensie Alexander's recruitment just a bit. Different personalities all together, but Alexander played things very quiet for a long time and didn't say much either way about any schools until his commitment.
