New Orleans CU biased opinion

IMO, NCAA CFB should consider removing New Orleans Sugar Bowl from all CFP future meetings.

Remember the Clemson LSU fanatics monopoly money $hit show?

Probably remembers the big crowd crush getting into the game. It was terrible. Potentially a very dangerous situation. Nobody could move, sardines for a solid 30 minutes heading into the game

I got into a crowd crush situation like that once w my wife at a concert. It is a frightening and helpless feeling.

Yup and also been in that situation in Charlotte ACC (way back when)...but that is only part of the problem in New Orleans

Yes indeed. Luckily everyone remained relatively calm

But it would have only have taken a couple of people panicking or acting up to cause a bad situation

what is so bad is by the time you realize it is like that there is nothing you can do.

I'm thinking that's why they have to postpone.

I remember the time it took to get in, and the mass of people outside for over an hour. COnsidering this attack, that's a lot of vulnerable people. I'd think they have to get some barricades and such to get it secure, which will take a day.

The Superdome is anything but "super" - it is in no way is a proper facility to host CFP games. It's a dump, like most of New Orleans.

My seats vs. LSU in the national championship were in the lower deck endzone. Due to overhang, could not see punts or video board.

Same here worse seats I have ever had by far. Could see high arcing Padres punts etc and video monitors were 32” so not much help 30yarda away.

I haven’t been there in person, but I hate the vibe just from TV - seems like a dark, ugly, poorly designed facility. Way overdue for implosion.

I do remember cruising for CFP tix a few years ago and being surprised at how many had obstructed views.

I’m watching the press conference now. From the governor, the mayor, the police chief, the senators, they’re all grand-standing, word salad nimrods. No wonder the city and the facilities there are crime ridden, mismanaged dumps.

We would always like to go for 2 to 3 day weekends for good meals, sightseeing, and some shopping. Always been dangerous, but there was an allure to it. Last few trips have changed my perception

The stadium is definitely a dump. The worst designed stadium ever. So far from the field of play and many views are blocked.

You also have a very corrupt city, leaders and police department. I watched #### go on during the game with street thugs and policemen sitting right there not saying a #### word.

NO POLICE DEPT. is at the top of the corrupt list. I think the DOJ had to take it over and run it at one time due to it being so corrupt.

We went to the 2017 playoff game vs Bama in NO. Will never go to another game there. The stadium is kind of like an indoor version of the original Orange Bowl at the end of its lifespan. Smelled like Tiger Town Tavern on Saturday morning. Views from seats were awful. The 4 block walk to the stadium was very sketchy and walking back to the truck after midnight was really sketchy. No need to take those chances.

New Orleans is the best. Can "tailgate" in the French Quarter and walk to the game. All these other stadiums are in soulless suburban hellscapes except for Atlanta.
