Never took issue w/Dabo's ‘not run up the score’ B4 now

But if the CFPC (and talking heads) are going to keep ranking us behind two loss teams; teams that have a worse SOR/SOS; teams with narrow or come from behind wins against lesser teams, etc., then the only explanation is that we have looked badly - even though we’ve beaten good teams.
Therefore, both of our remaining games must not only be wins, they have to be dominant and convincing. I hope Dabo will finally keep ‘his foot to the floor’ and push our Tigers to score in the 40’s, 50’s and even the 60’s, while stifling the coot’s and UNCheat’s offenses.
Effin’ double standards are BS!

Sadly, running up the score is not a part of Dabo's nature.

Sooner or later, he will have to realize, that if he wants to do what is best for Clemson, which I believe he does, then there are times when running up the score is a necessary evil. Saturday would be a real good time to start.

If you think we have been good enough this year to run up the score, you have watched 11 different games than I have but your are right, Dabo rewards players with playing time when the game is not close.

That’s the only reason I think he didn’t take a knee and end the game more expeditiously Saturday.

in blowing out SCAR or a number of ACCCG opponents. He may like Shane, but he blew him out of his own stadium last year. Could see it going down again this year.

ACCCG. All our backups are well trained so when he puts them in they perform like the starters. I quit complaining about close games in the early and middle part of the season after a few years of Dabo doing this and producing such outstanding results.
He is preparing to win against USuCk, the ACCCCG and whatever comes after. He spends all year making his teams as good as they can be and he does a fine job of it.
We will romp and stomp over both carolinas and whoever, not named Georgia, that comes after.

It’s sad that you think scoring 40 points in a game is running up the score.

Especially since that included a whopping 16 points in the second half.

it's the OP's...
"I hope Dabo will finally keep ‘his foot to the floor’ and push our Tigers to score in the 40’s, 50’s and even the 60’s"
Maybe you misread.

I would wager that most people here don’t think we ran up the score against Miami.

By all means let us know how you define “running up the score.” ESPN analytics gave us a 99% chance of winning - at the half. At 26-10 and almost a full quarter to play, the odds plummeted to 98.6%. So I’d say any extra scoring past that point could be seen as running up the score. Maybe part of your unhappiness with this team is that you don’t understand football, certainly not as well as our coaches. So you lack critical information for evaluating their decision making. But that would be giving you the benefit of the doubt that you’re actually a fan.

Dabo's philosophy has never been "don't run up the score". His philosophy has been play as many players as the scorer allows and let them play. He may not call as many passes, unless he wants the 2nd or 3rd team QB to get some throwing in, but he wants them to do well and score. Listen to his explanation for the end of the Miami game.

moving and under a minute remaining. Could have taken a knee. Even threw a pass inside the 20.
That's the definition of running it up.

We need a couple of Ws and a couple of teams to take Ls.
Winning by 12 or 52 ain't gonna change much at this point.
