NCAA 13

Jul 10, 2012, 11:33 PM

For those who bought it today, what do you think so far? I like the changes they've made, granted I have bought and will continue to buy it every year.

Great game. The interceptions are out of control. But I love everything else in the gameplay. Haven't tried dynasty mode yet. Waiting on rosters.

Just wish they'd expand rosters to 85 and allow you to hire/fire your assistants.

If you play with an SEC team your roster size is 105!

I agree.

After the first season and you have a National Title under your belt, I end up getting about 10 to 12 5 star recruits and I end up out recruiting my previous years class of 5 stars. And when it comes time to cut players, It is tough to decide which 5 star to kick off your team because you can only take 70 players.

It is kinda interesting to watch how quickly you can destory a top program by recruiting.

When I sign about 7 to 10 5 star players year after year, I notice that Florida an Florida State and Ohio State and a few other schools start to just stink. When you take away a couple of players each year that those schools would normally get, it just crumbles them and they end up with 7-6 records each year.

I guess it is similar to real college football.
I mean when we sign a Sammy Watkins and a Tony Steward, albeit they are just one player, schools like FSU and FLorida do feel it. One top play maker can make a big difference.

Great game, loving the ball placement and read and react defense, but as stated above the INTs are a bit out of hand. Btw if you're into playing online abuse the heck out of wide out screens to sammy until they figure out how to stop it then it's unless (usually takes a few plays if you're playing anyone with football knowledge)

Then hitting a screen when they blitz to stop it.

Are you guys playing with a 4-3 formation defense?

Jul 11, 2012, 9:57 AM

Usually just AA so I can feel good about myself. Heisman you have 300lb D-Lineman with 40 inch verticles jump up and intercept passes with one hand.

Best game that they have put out yet. Graphics and gameplay is awesome although its easy to throw an INT. I like the recruiting part of it.

Interceptions

Jul 11, 2012, 10:03 PM

I keep reading about interceptions. I have not played this years version of the game yet but one of the new features they added this year was better passing gameplay. The quarterback was supposed to move more realistically and the pass trajectory was supposed to be improved with more options.

So what the heck happened. Is this a bug that they can fix with a patch.

I remember in last years game, the LBs had out of this world verticles and batted down many balls.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The defense is just cranked way up

Jul 12, 2012, 12:18 AM

Which, quite frankly, I kinda like. Its fun not having to be in a shootout every single game.

In past games

Jul 12, 2012, 12:11 AM [ in reply to Re: NCAA 13 ]

the offense was to easy to run and now with the different tragetories to throw they had to come up with something to make it possible to defend
