More game attendence than ever. More TV viewership than ever. More profits for the schools than ever. Revenue sharing to ALL sports next year.
Vanderbilt beating Alabama.
Things are actually better than ever.

No it is not a better product. Viewership and revenue being up does not make it better. I like the playoff structure which was a long time coming but that is the only thing that is better than before COVID. I have a sense that unfortunately our Tigers will soon start to start to struggle. We are starting to see the cracks in recruiting in the new NIL world. I hope I am wrong.

Seemingly more parity in the upper echelons. Last weekend may be an anomaly and I’m suffering recency bias … but wow!

Your other points are all debatable going forward. Actually i don't think the more profits for schools is even debatable at all. Profits are going to drop when revenue sharing gets passed, and i doubt that's going to be a good thing for ALL sports either.

Is that Clemson can’t compete long term in salary benefit bidding. Even after the profit sharing thing is in play, there's nothing to prevent NIKE from buying players for Oregon. That can’t happen in professional sports since the players are lol under contract, they have a draft, and there are salary caps. As it stands right now we are at a huge disadvantage. That’s a fact

Stupid take.
1. It's not really true that game attendance is up at all. It's a mixed bag. Some attendances are up, some are down. https://www.d1ticker.com/2023-fbs-attendance-trends/
2. It's also not true that TV viewership is up. It's pretty stagnant. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-playoff-ratings-bcs-history/
3. It's stupid to just say profits are up. What's important is how competitively balanced the sport is. Profits are up tremendously for the SEC and Big Ten. They're not up for the ACC or Big Ten. And they're down for many G5 programs. And this is just a last gasp of TV to remain around. If it weren't for the NFL, the networks would go under. They're trying to secure TV rights to any sports because they're so desperate.
4. We'll see about all sports. I personally believe it will end up where some schools can pay all athletes, and other cannot. We'll have Title IX issues and many smaller programs shuttering their programs.
5. Who cares if Vandy beat Alabama? Upsets happen all the time and NIL and the transfer portal didn't cause this. In 2007, FCS App State beat #5 Michigan. In 2010, James Madison beat #10 Virginia Tech. Also in 2007, Stanford was a 42 point underdog to USC and beat them. Those are all much bigger upsets than this.

Overall attendence is up. A few thousand less at a MAC stadium doesn't offset the increased attendence at a lot of P5 schools, stadium expansions, etc.
The TV viewership rating don't include streaming viewers, from what I can tell. There are multiple, non traditional ways to watch.
Stupid to cite facts? No, it's stupid to say that the single most important t fact - profits - don't matter. Balance dies t matter except to losers.
Small sports shuttering? So what? If they can't stand in their own, that's not football or basketball's problem.
Turkey IX? I'd pay to watch a women's four all league. Death Valley on bye Weeks and away games for the men.
Upsets? You're arguing out of both dudes of your mouth. Either the upsets are a sign that there is still parity or the "no parity" argument is bogus. We both know which one it is.

I think it's killing it more for the fans, not so much the revenue they're bringing in. All it's really doing for most teams is causing lack of chemistry and effecting the locker room. It's going away, but I think they'll eventually be guidelines and more rules involved in it rather than just open Free Agency each year. They just opened that can of worms with no guidelines and people went crazy with it.

He wasn’t being honest.
Nate claimed that he decomitted from LSU after Coach O got fired. That’s not true. Coach O got fired during Nate’s freshman season at Clemson.
Since he lied about that, it’s safe to assume he wasn’t being honest about anything.

Gonna be tough for Dabo to get Nate to come back and get his degree. He clearly didn't and doesn't value education. Nate's still a your guy so maybe he grows up and realizes the importance of it in time. However, seems he might be added to the list of 7 or 8 guys who under Dabo's head coaching tenure at Clemson never got their degree. He still hand writes letters every year to each guy to come back and get their degree.

Nate lied about decomitting from LSU after Coach O was fired.
Coach O was fired during the 2021 season, which was Nate’s freshman season at Clemson.
Because of that, it’s safe to assume that Nate grossly exaggerated virtually everything that he said in this podcast

You got it wrong about nate. He wasn't lying and he didn't grossly exaggerate the truth. He's a good dood and he's straight up. What nate said has been said by other Clemson players. That's why our recruiting has gone down. Dabo controls the narrative, bet on it. Dabo can play that awe shucks character but he knows what's said by the fanbase.
Anyway, nate said he was committed to lsu after his freshman year when he wanted to leave. That's when he was going to lsu, not that he committed to lsu to begin with.
Keep thinking lil ole Dabo is lily white.
