Exactly.
You can't see him, you can't touch him, you can't even know for sure he exists, but he gave you a book rife with different interpretations, contradictions, and just down right bizarre passages to live by.
Oh and he loves SO much that he's not gonna torture you for eternity if you just believe in him.
What a great guy.

I could excuse the use of plain talk to be understood by those who think magnetic and gravitation forces just happened.
You, sir, are seeking a way to not believe. A true nonbeliever wouldn't do that. Opposites have a special way of manifesting. Love is not the opposite of hate. Indifference is the opposite of love. Hate requires effort, indifference requires nothing.

Want you mind blown, read on. If you're frail turn away now.
You've brought up Jesus turning the water into wine several times here in over the last four or five years. Do you remember everyone here affirming that it was aged well rather than being fresh pressed grape juice?
So Christ, the creator according to the Gospel made wine which was fermented. Have you every bought an 80 yr old bottle of wine? Why reckon do they cost a king's ransom? Mostly because they are rare and rare because the demand over those 80 years was high and increased with the age of the wine. So we know Jesus, the Creator had the insight to make His wine well aged for it was the best offered at the celebration, right?
So what makes anyone think the earth and rest of the universe wasn't aged when he created them. He created fruit trees with fruit hanging on them. He told them eat from any tree except that one.
So how many rings did those fruit trees have, do you think? So why are we then arguing about the age of the earth if it was created mature?
I really wish you'd ask questions which are mature as the earth was on Day 6.
BTW, I love you and pray for you and FBCoach everyday at least twice and most days three times. I pray for the rest of you guys too.

I'm reading in Jeremiah now and came across an allegory...was this it?
Chapter 5:
"22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?"
I can see a preacher preaching from this chapter with you in the room.

Actually I think the sermon was from Isaiah and he was preaching on the passage about putting on a coat for worship? Something like that.
His point was that god was worthy of worship.

Jesus ministry should too. Both addressed the hypocrisy in the church of their day. Both dealt with churches which sacrificed animals according to law yet lived like pagan idol worshipers.
