We sell out of season tickets every year - the overwhelming majority of those purchasing them are IPTAY donors. Between the donors, students and away team tickets there are very few tickets left.
Not sure making a donation makes one more qualified to have an opinion (though it may in certain setting make your opinion matter more)

I typically make it to 1 home game and 1 away game a year. Why should I donate to IPTAY? Most people donate as part of their season ticket purchase. Season tickets make no sense for me. I am an alumni. C/O 2002. Am I less of a fan bc I don't donate? I support the Tigers as much as the Heisman level donor (in how hard I cheer anyway).
For those who donate, good for you. Don't call me out though.

I'll one-up you. Maybe people that don't have a degree from Clemson should keep their opinions to themselves too? That should be the "real" litmus test because otherwise you're just a fan without any real skin in the game, right?

Listen, if you think it's only members of Iptay that attend the game religiously, you're very wrong. DV as do most college venues thrive off a "scalpers market." It makes sense people are willing to pay more to be able to say they were, "...there the day the #1 Tigers beat team X." The secondary market makers sure our games are sold out. I'd rather have a 84K+, loud non Iptay crowd there, than have 76K who can't be as loud. Life happens, so even lifelong Iptay members WILL NOT make every game. The secondary market is just so readily available now, why not make $, and fill the stands with Clemson fans (Iptay members or not) to cheer on our Tigers. I give, but I don't understand this. We're entitled to our own opinions I guess.

I didn't graduate from Clemson, I graduated from CofC. Do I have any say? 
Although I do wish all would/could donate to IPTAY because it takes $$$ to field teams of The caliber we want year after year.

There are plenty of older people on tight fixed incomes. There are families week to week as well. People may be disabled. People may be in between jobs etc etc. Those are just some of many reasons. Some of us are better off than others finacially. We all have our ups and downs. I welcome every Clemson fan and their opinions.

Daughter graduated from Clemson. Gave to IPTAY for 14 years before moving to Germany. Stopped then and never started again when I got back. I think I still have an opinion that matters. At least it does to me!

Being that I paid full tuition for a Masters from Clemson that I will continue to have to pay for quite some time, chances are that my "donations" to the university will exceed your IPTAY contributions...as long as I can only get to two games a year in person, I won't be donating to IPTAY...get over it

If you don't need season tickets to one of the sports, then there is no reason to donate to IPTAY.
There are plenty of other ways to help the university than through IPTAY that are much more tax friendly.

With all respect, that's a broad statement. I don't post often but I do have an opinion.
I was an Iptay member for 30+ years. Traveled thousands of miles to cheer Tigers on.
Not able to go now but my blood is as orange as yours.

Didn't know there was an ownership quota. So much for spending tens of thousands to go to school. All I needed to do was simply give a few bucks to IPTAY to be a true fan.

Get a life! I gave for five years until medical issues and the resulting expenses prevented our household from continuing! My wife and I still find enough funds to go to one game each season and still manage. Hope you can continue your membership, but recognize there are many fans who give when and where they can.
