My not so bold prediction for the CFP

The Top 3 will hold serve and be undefeated.
Oklahoma will beat Baylor
Oklahoma's 2 wins over Baylor will be better than anything Utah has done.
1. Ohio State vs. 4. Oklahoma (Buckeyes will chose to play in ATL) 2. LSU vs. 3. Clemson (PHX)

NOT SO FAST, my friend. Remember, Lee Corso picked UTAH

at the start of the season, and everybody looked at him like he actually WAS crazy. I think Utah does control their own destiny. If they win in convincing, or even workmanlike fashion, as long as they control that game, I believe they get in over Oklahoma. If not, it just means the Committee is more concerned with ticket sales than with actually putting the four most deserving teams in.

Don't agree with your last line

I can easily see how folks could see/think/believe that Oklahoma is a better team than Utah. Not saying I agree with that, but I don't think you have to change the narrative to "it's all about the ticket sales" if that ends up being the committee's decision.

You don't have to agree with me. But, statwise, Utah is the superior team to Oklahoma. (Offense AND Defense combined.) The argument against Utah is the same argument the talking Richard Heads tried to make against us. They don't have a win over a "marque" type team. But, having watched both teams play this year, I believe Utah would shut down Oklahoma head to head.
The Committee likes Utah slightly better right now, but again, their old "start every week with a clean sheet of paper" means that Utah getting jumped is entirely possible.
The final kicker, which I REALLY hope does not happen, is the Dawgs upsetting LSU. Because, that would in all probability mean that neither Utah nor Oklahoma gets in, and we get stuck with two SEC teams.
In the SEC world, it would not surprise me that much if LSU "took one for the league", since the general consensus is that they are in the playoffs win or lose Saturday.

Doesn't #1 get to choose the location? Or are you saying they won't be#1 at that point? Does seem the committee might not want Clemson in the same location 3 years in a row.

As long as we are doing predictions: ---- Top 4 ends up 1. OhSt 2. LSU 3. Clemson 4. Utah ---- Game 1: Utah plays OhSt way closer than expected but OhSt survives
OhSt 31 Utah 27 ---- Game 2: A shootout occurs early but Clemson's defense rises up and gets several stops in the 2nd half.
Clemson 42 LSU 31 ---- Game 3: Venables bates young J Fields into several mistakes and Clemson plays like theyve been there before.
Clemson 38 OhSt 24 ----

I actually wouldn’t mind watching UGA beat LSU because I think it means that we’d be in Atlanta and if we’re going to win the natty I want the deck to be as stacked against us as possible so no excuses from the rest of the world.
But if UGA beats LSU I think you’d have
OSU CLEM UGA LSU
They’d put LSU vs OSU in Phoenix and then UGA vs CLEM in Atlanta. You want to run the gauntlet, let’s beat UGA in Atlanta and then beat LSU in New Orleans with ETN just going off on them.

If Ohio State remains #1 it sounds like they will choose to play in Phoenix. They have a huge following out there. Which is great news for us, Clemson vs LSU in Atlanta. Peach bowl tickets are bought, fingers crossed!
