Phil Mafah should be #2 my opinion

Absolutely, feed him early and often and by the second half defenses will have huge holes as they get tired of him running over, thru & around them.

We should start this in the 1st game as we mow down the UGA defense and open up the long ball as the come in to stop the run!

Mafah is a guy that gets better with every carry!

My biggest hope for Mafah this year is that he can stay healthy, and that he has

the stamina and speed to be the #1 workhorse guy, week in and week out. He will get some help from the youngsters, but, it is his show to run, pardon the pun.

been our starting running back. The first I currently remember (curse you, Father Time!) is Ray Yauger. I wore a Smiley Sanders jersey almost every day in high school. That streak ended when I heard an interview with Phil Mafah… and then my favorite Tiger became the backup running back.

He seems calm, humble, focused and all-in.

I’m really excited to see him as our starter.

I'd like to see us run a 2-back offense a lot this year. If we do, the D won't be able to key on Mafah. If we can get a little better O-Line blocking, a 2-back offense with Mafah should be able to move the ball on the ground and get a few long runs. That will cause the D secondary to come down and open up the deep passing game.

If he had more rushes against FSU (even just 1 in OT), we win that game
