Can someone with rule knowledge post a reply about what is a moving screen or not? I have watched this get called for this several times this year. I watch Virginia chip out shuffle their feet and use shoulders to tip the chaser. They are definitely not static. So I just don't understand the rule apparently. Thanks in advance.
Clemson is terrible at moving screens and has been for years, but so are most teams. It is basically a fundamental of basketball and generally it is the player with the ball who is at fault. If a big is coming to set a screen or what used to be referred to as the pick and roll, the player with the basketball should not move until the other player is set. If the player with the ball leaves too quickly the player setting the screen then has to move in order to screen and that is the infraction. Bottom line is if you want a screen wait until the screener is set! It is that simple.
