I’ve been a Clemson fan through it all—the down years, the Cinderella rise, and the "we hate you because you’re good" phase. But I’ve never seen Clemson as the villain in college football until now.
If/When Clemson beats SMU, the nation’s going to hate us..... and I LOVE IT!
Bring on the hate! You all made this happen CFB. A 3-loss team as the 4th seed in the playoff?

12 not a bad spot to be. There is a chance our route to the semi leads through South Bend and ASU. That’s the most likely scenario until chaos hits Saturday. But it starts on Saturday, time for the boys to bring the ACC trophy back to Clemson. Been too long.

Yes we can be a 12 seed. If we don’t finish ahead of the winner of unlv and Boise or Arizona state and Iowa state we will be the 12 seed. If we don’t finish but if UNLV beats Boise we will be a top 4 seed and get a bye. But if we are the lowest rank champion we will be the 12 seed. We will travel to more than likely Notre Dame. Unless Oreton loses to Penn state. Then we will more than likely head to Oregon.

4 highest ranked conference champions. Need UNLV to win so we get the 4 seed. But it doesn’t matter because I don’t think we will be able to keep up with SMU’s 39 ppg

Over the last four years, we basically have been irrelevant and other fan bases don’t view Clemson as anything more than like a southern version of Penn State. Hang around the top 10, lose the important games, miss the playoff, rinse, and repeat.

If we win on Saturday, I'll be happy. If we lose on Saturday, I won't be shocked. If we do win, we should honestly be the 12th seed. We aren't good and truly we got incredibly lucky to still have a chance to make it in. No matter how I feel about this team though, I will still cheer for the Tigers. Go Tigers!

I think it's the opposite here... I think a good chunk of the country may be pulling for us in order to knock Alabama out. The assumption being that a Clemson win means both SMU and Clemson make the playoff thus eliminating the last available slot currently occupied by Alabama.
